About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Creative Manager for Central and Visual Identity, the Midweight Creative role sits within ASOS Creative Studios. To succeed as a Midweight Creative, you will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be tasked with delivering smart, agile, creative ideas that play a meaningful role in culture and speak to 20-somethings globally as to retain/ build on ASOS’ relevancy and recognition in our consumer/audience’s world.

We are looking for strategic thinkers, creators, makers and those who can help us create content that can connect with millions around the world. People who live and breathe social and understand how to push the platforms and innovate at speed. People with the skills and mindset to unlock the potential creativity for ASOS.

The Creative Team is responsible for development and execution of all consumer-facing visual brand communication for ASOS and our partner brands – delivering strong and engaging content through all channels relevant to 20-somethings – creating brand awareness [and over time salience], helping to hero our product and celebrating our global community.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with other members of the Creative Studios department, working closely with Brand Marketing, ASOS Media Group, Fashion, Design and Talent teams to ensure a unified approach to the experiences and initiatives of an ambitious and rapidly evolving brand/s. Due to the nature of the collaboration this role will require being onsite 3 days per week.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop compelling and innovative creative concepts that are relevant for the consumer, client and brand strategy.
  • Lead the Creative Art Direction for your respective briefs to deliver successful campaigns for ASOS and our partner brands.
  • Collaborate, develop and maintain excellent relationships with project teams across Creative Studios, ASOS Media Group, Social, Talent and PR, Marketing and Commercial.
  • A confident communicator presenting and translating your creative ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure creative excellence throughout all work, while promoting ASOS behaviours through every project.
  • Understanding and follow the creative brand strategy as directed by Head of Creative/Creative Director.
  • Staying close to changing trends in our customer’s interests to help update the brand look and feel when relevant… grounded in fashion and fashionability.
  • Working closely with the Brand Marketing team to understand the ever-changing channels and best practice to support trading priorities.
  • Bring a strong working knowledge of relevant talent, photographers, illustrators and creatives to the team.
  • Provide inspiration by bringing new ideas and concepts to the Creative Studios Teams.
  • Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

Qualifications

Who We’d Like to Meet

  • Experienced and established Midweight Creative with an ability to develop and articulate creative ideas and present them clearly.
  • Experience working as a Midweight Creative for a mobile and social first brand or youth culture-shaped agency.
  • High level of knowledge, skills, and experience across copywriting, art direction, video, social and design.
  • Plugged into 20 something culture and fashion – you’ll be able to understand the needs of ASOS target customer.
  • An eye for detail with a demonstratable passion, curiosity and experience in generating ideas, telling stories and making creative concepts.
  • Collaborative and receptive to feedback.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, highly organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change.
  • Positivity in spades – we need a true team player.
  • Understanding of multi-channel content, consumption and distribution.
  • Knowledge of the production landscape – what new technologies are being used to drive innovative content production.
  • Ability to work in effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage external relationships with third parties.
  • Proficient in one or many Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • An interest and ability to use AI tools to enhance storytelling.
  • Portfolio of professional work that demonstrates an understanding and enthusiasm for youth culture, fashion and or social content creation.
