Job Description

As the Head of Merchandising for ASOS Design Menswear (ADMW), you will play pivotal role in shape the commercial success of ADMW through strategic planning, data-led decision making, and in-season trading excellence.

As a key member of the Merchandising team, you’ll work closely with the Head of Category to deliver sales and profit targets, optimise stock flow, and identify growth opportunities. You’ll lead the creation of robust sales, stock and intake plans, ensuring alignment with GMP budgets and divisional KPIs. Your insights will directly influence product performance, customer experience, and business profitability.

The Details…

  • Monitor and deliver the planned sales and profitability of ADMW through effective planning and in-season trading
  • Regularly analyse divisional KPIs to identify commercial opportunities and mitigate risk, ensuring BTA remains realistic and responsive to change
  • Drive performance across category and subcategory KPIs including ASP, Width & Depth, Intake Margin and Sell Through
  • Optimise data and insights to support decision-making and highlight future growth opportunities to relevant stakeholders
  • Resolve trading issues swiftly and collaboratively, working cross-functionally to implement effective solutions
  • Lead the Buying & Merchandising teams in building a global assortment that delivers on ASOS’s mission and customer promise
  • Provide clear direction and development to your team, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Champion business-wide initiatives and projects, acting as a positive force for change
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive and evolve strategy

Qualifications

About You

You’re a confident and commercially astute leader with a proven track record in Merchandising. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a data-driven mindset to everything you do and know how to bring product, performance, and people together to deliver results.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience leading high-performing Product teams and delivering strategies that drive sales and profit
  • A commercial and analytical mindset, using data and insights to unlock opportunities and shape strategy
  • Strong knowledge of planning, KPIs and OTB management, with the ability to make smart trade-offs across categories
  • A clear and engaging communication style, with the confidence to present performance and strategy to senior stakeholders
  • An inclusive leadership approach, role modelling positive behaviours and providing clarity and development to your team
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and with suppliers
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with relevant trading systems
