Job Description

APM Terminals

At APM Terminals

At APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth. What drives us forward is a mindset of always improving — observing how work happens, identifying what creates value, and removing what gets in the way. We constantly look for smarter, simpler, and safer ways of operating. If you thrive in environments where people value learning and are committed to continuously improve daily operations, join us and be apart of our journey.

What We Can Offer

At APMT Terminals, we foster a dynamic learning and training culture that empowers our employees to excel. Our commitment to improvement is driven by Lean principles, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity to develop their skills and advance their careers. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.

  • Work within a global Asset Management team supporting terminals across multiple regions and equipment types.
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders, OEMs, suppliers, inventory specialists, and asset management professionals.
  • Gain exposure to global inventory planning, spare parts lifecycle management, and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Access development opportunities within APM Terminals and the broader Maersk organization while contributing to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize lifecycle spare parts stocking plans for new and existing terminal equipment.
  • Partner with OEMs, suppliers, category management, inventory managers, and warehouse teams to improve spare parts availability and inventory performance.
  • Support equipment acquisition and commissioning activities by ensuring spare parts requirements are incorporated into inventory plans.
  • Align local maintenance plans with global inventory strategies and spare parts governance standards.
  • Build and maintain parts master data, BOM/eBOM alignment, and parts mapping across equipment manufacturers.
  • Contribute to regional stocking models that optimize inventory levels, transportation costs, and service delivery performance.
  • Provide technical guidance on spare parts criticality, stock level optimization, and disposal planning for obsolete or redundant inventory.

What We Are Looking For

Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset—curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.

Leadership expectation: We are looking for people who consistently puts customers first, leads by example with respect for people, delivers results with integrity, and drives continuous improvement by solving problems at the root, developing people, and raising standards every day.

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in asset-intensive industries working with BOMs, eBOMs, spare parts, and maintenance-related inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory planning, warehousing principles, MRO/M&R processes, and global supply chain operations.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support data-driven inventory decisions.
  • Excellent English communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multicultural and cross-functional global teams.
