Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on RTGs, Mobile Harbour Cranes, spreaders, and related equipment.
- Diagnose equipment faults and execute cost-effective repairs to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, control systems, PLC-related components, and other electrical equipment.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities in line with planned maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, confirmation slips, and spare parts documentation.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and support a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
- Provide technical support during equipment recovery, emergency repairs, and maintenance operations as required.
What We Are Looking For:
- Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset, curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.
- Hold an ND, HND, BSc, or BTech qualification in an Electrical engineering discipline.
- Have 3-5 years of electrical maintenance experience within ports, mining, steel, manufacturing, or production environments, including shift work experience.
- Demonstrate experience working on Mobile Harbour Cranes, Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTGs), spreaders, or other heavy-duty port handling equipment.
- Possess knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and equipment fault diagnosis.
- Be computer literate, analytical, self-motivated, and capable of responding effectively to emergency repairs while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
