Job Description

APM Terminals

Business Support Officer - BIM
Are you ready to contribute to the future of global infrastructure development? APM Terminals is a global leader in port and terminal management. As part of the A.P. Moller‑Maersk Group, we design, build, operate and improve world‑class terminals that enable global trade and connect economies across the globe. At APM Terminals, continuous improvement, structure and operational excellence are at the heart of everything we do. Join us and become part of a team that thrives on collaboration, execution excellence and a hands‑on approach to building the future of our terminal network.

What We Offer

APM Terminals is part of A.P. Moller-Maersk, offering a diverse and inclusive environment where people feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. In this role, you can expect:

  • A highly international environment, working with global project teams across multiple geographies
  • The opportunity to shape structure, governance and best‑practice ways of working in a growing function
  • A culture that values clarity, collaboration and curiosity
  • Exposure to major investment projects and a unique opportunity to learn the full lifecycle of terminal development
  • A team where open communication, trust and positive energy are central to how we operate

About the Role

We are looking for a BIM Support Officer to strengthen our PMO team and ensure smooth, structured and well‑coordinated BIM operations across our global project portfolio. The role combines hands‑on support for live projects with building governance, documentation standards and communication practices that enable long‑term growth. You will act as the central link between BIM leadership, PMOs, the Centre of Excellence and project teams, ensuring clarity, quality and an efficient flow of information.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Early Works Support

  • Process and track PO/PRs in IFS
  • Coordinate with Finance, Procurement and project teams
  • Help stabilise early‑works workflows and remove bottlenecks

Document & Information Management

  • Own and maintain BIM’s SharePoint structure (metadata, version control, accessibility)
  • Act as document controller for project documentation
  • Ensure compliance in document governance and lifecycle management

Communication & COE Support

  • Prepare communication materials and updates with the COE Lead
  • Coordinate Lean, Kaizen and training activities
  • Support clarity and consistency in BIM communication

Team & PMO Coordination

  • Coordinate inputs across PMOs and Project Leads
  • Prepare meetings, agendas and action tracking
  • Ensure efficient, high‑quality execution of daily PMO operations

What We’re Looking For

  • A highly structured and proactive professional who enjoys creating clarity, bringing order to complexity and enabling others to succeed.
  • Solid experience in administrative support, PMO coordination, project office work or similar roles
  • Experience with documentation, SharePoint administration or information management
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable navigating corporate environments and matrix structures
  • Exposure to document control or project documentation flows
  • Proactive and solutions‑oriented — you move things forward with confidence
  • Positive, open-minded and a strong team player
  • Comfortable coordinating between stakeholders and gathering inputs
  • Able to balance speed with quality
  • Lean-minded: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.
