The Wholesale Service Centre (WSC) is the single point of contact for all competitive retail-to-wholesale enquiries, ensuring a level playing field between Anglian Water’s own retail arm and all other retailers. As the market evolves, the WSC will continue to expand and adapt its services to align with industry reforms and regulatory requirements.

As a Wholesale Service Centre Team Leader (WSCTL), you will lead a team of four multi-skilled advisers, supporting activities related to Inset appointments, Water Supply Licensees, wholesale billing, Maximum Daily Demand (MDD) management, and future market code requirements. You will foster a high-performance culture, ensuring equivalent, consistent service to all retailers while supporting the transformation of our wholesale operations.

What you'll be doing

• Lead, develop and support a team of Wholesale Service Centre Advisers, fostering a high-performance culture

• Plan day-to-day activities, monitor performance and deliver coaching to team members

• Ensure equivalent handling of all retailer enquiries within agreed service levels

• Oversee MDD monitoring and ensure compliance with the Wholesale MDD Exceedance Policy

• Support wholesale billing, tariff updates and liaison with internal teams on billing queries

• Coordinate service obligations across new appointment and variation, bulk supply, discharge, bulk transfers and Water Supply Licensee agreements

• Support switching activity and coordinate service levels for new appointment and variation enquiries

• Validate, coordinate and process logger and metering requests

• Develop and improve management information, forecasting processes and operational reporting

• Organise and deliver training, development and recruitment activities

• Ensure accurate maintenance of business customer databases and ensure use of SAP, Salesforce and other key systems

• Promote continuous improvement, challenging processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness

• Maintain Health & Safety standards and lead safety culture within the team

What we’re looking for

• Understanding of competition within the water industry and non-household market reforms

• Experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role with strong people management capability

• Working knowledge of SAP (billing, job creation, account management)

• Experience in B2B service delivery, billing, service support or metering

• Strong communication and influencing skills, able to work across business units

• Proficiency in SAP, Salesforce, MS Excel, GIS and wider business systems

• Self-starter, able to work independently and manage competing priorities

• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them consistently

• Strong data accuracy, attention to detail and awareness of confidentiality
