Help Us Keep Our People Safer Every Day

At Anglian Water, nothing is more important than the safety of our people.

We're looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Training & Development Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting our Process Safety programme, ensuring that our operational teams have the training, competence and qualifications they need to work safely every day.

This isn't a traditional training administration role. You'll be helping to coordinate critical process safety training that protects our people, our assets, our customers and the environment. Every course you schedule, every record you maintain and every training requirement you coordinate will contribute to our ambition of creating a safer workplace for everyone.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our People Development team, you'll coordinate and plan technical and process safety training activities across Anglian Water, ensuring our colleagues remain appropriately trained, compliant and competent.

You'll:

  • Coordinate the delivery of process safety and technical training programmes across the business.

  • Schedule training courses, assessments and e-learning activities to support operational requirements and compliance obligations.

  • Work closely with operational managers, trainers and stakeholders to ensure training is delivered at the right time and in the right locations.

  • Maintain accurate training records across our systems, including SAP and learning management platforms.

  • Produce training reports and track completion, attendance and compliance requirements.

  • Liaise with internal and external training providers to maximise attendance, minimise downtime and secure value for money.

  • Support ongoing competence management activities that help ensure our operational teams can work safely and effectively.

Why This Role Matters

Process safety is about preventing serious incidents before they happen.

From ensuring colleagues maintain critical safety qualifications to coordinating mandatory training programmes, you'll directly support Anglian Water's commitment to Safer Every Day.

Your work will help ensure that our people have the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to operate safely in complex operational environments, reducing risk and helping us protect our customers, communities and the environment. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference every day through the work you do.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing structure and organisation to complex workloads.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience coordinating multiple activities and competing priorities.

  • Strong administration and organisational skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Experience maintaining records and producing reports.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • The ability to work independently whilst building effective relationships across the business.

  • A customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering excellent service.

  • Experience working within training, learning and development, compliance or workforce development environments (Desirable).

  • Experience using learning management systems, SAP or similar business systems (Desirable).

  • An understanding of safety, operational or technical training requirements (Desirable).

As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:

  • Personal private health care

  • Life assurance (up to 8 x salary)

  • Personal accident cover (up to 5 x salary)

  • Double-matched pension (maximum 7% employee / 14% employer contribution)

  • 25 days annual leave – rising with length of service and the ability to buy more

  • Excellent family friendly policies, such as 26 weeks full pay for maternity / adoption leave, as well as 4 weeks paid paternity / partner leave. Opportunity for shared parental pay

  • Bonus scheme

  • Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.
