At Anglian Water we are working to meet tomorrow’s challenges today, by planning and delivering significant infrastructure for our region to address future challenges such as securing water supply for future generations, reaching net zero, adapting to climate change and protecting and enhancing our region for generations to come.

About the role:

As part of the Strategic Supply Integration (SSI) Team that is embedded within the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA), you will work with SPA, @One and local Anglian Water Operational teams to successfully deliver the major Capital Delivery projects related to the Water Resource Management Plan (WRMP).

As a core member of the AW Alliances delivery teams you will be responsible for solution development through to construction and commissioning; ensuring delivery of SPA and @One projects do not cause adverse customer, environmental or operational impacts through effective risk management

You will be a subject matter expert on operational business activities and the lead person engaging with operational management teams to enable successful delivery of capital projects whilst minimising impact and risk to the AW business.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Strategic Supply Integration Lead, you will work closely with Asset Owners, Modellers, Designers, Planners, Supply Chain and Delivery teams as part of this role. Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing SSI and operational interests as a core member of the Solution, Design and Delivery teams, ensuring operational requirements and commissioning considerations are fully integrated from the outset.
  • Supporting AW asset owners and construction teams as the first level of assurance that proposed designs will be safe to operate and maintain.
  • Leading the development of end‑to‑end system commissioning strategies, ensuring new infrastructure can be integrated into existing networks without compromising operational performance.
  • Working with Process Engineers, Commissioning and Delivery teams to create commissioning plans, handover criteria and operational acceptance activities that meet Anglian Water standards and ensure successful integration into existing asset base.
  • Identifying and resolving operational conflicts or risks across SPA, @One and Anglian Water projects to protect service continuity and minimise programme impact.
  • Enabling strong collaboration by fostering positive stakeholder relationships between Water Services, capital partners, the wider business and external stakeholders including water industry regulators.
  • Investing into the Interface Engineers so that they can excel in their roles, whilst also enabling them to achieve their personal aims and goals.

Essential skills and experience:

  • You should be qualified at a higher educational level, in a construction/engineering/science subject or relevant subject
  • Strong technical knowledge of Water Operations and Systems, with a deep understanding of operational processes, network behaviour and asset performance.
  • Experience working within a site construction or capital delivery environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with people from different partner organisations, leveraging broad technical and operational expertise.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Strong IT skills and confidence working with digital tools and data.

As a valued employee you’ll be entitled to:

  • Personal private health care
  • Company car allowance (based on 9,000 miles minimum requirement for role)
