Programme Co-Ordinator

Location: Peterborough

Contract: 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: circa £35,000

Here within Anglian Water, we collaborate with a number of alliance partners to provide the best water and water recycling services across the region by maintaining our existing assets and undertaking new projects to safeguard future water supplies.

Playing a key part in our drive to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region we serve through our commitment to Love Every Drop are our Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance. Comprising of Anglian Water, MGroup, Barhale and Kier, the IOS Alliance work together to concentrate on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base.

What will you be doing as our Programme Co-Ordinator?

You’ll report directly to the Performance Manager IOS you will provide effective control and complete visibility of the progress of standalones and parcel jobs which deliver the IOS capital programme. To be completed by utilising programme management practices and tools, to enable clarity of our capital delivery programme, project risks, and resources associated with works across IOS.

You will manage effective connections with the Project Delivery Managers and their team to ensure control via programme management for early identification of deviation from project plans. You will help provide timely and rigorous information management reporting of the programme from inception through to completion to help generate efficiencies, risks and issues, and lessons learned whilst ensuring the programme stays within governance.

A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours

  • Ensure standalone, parcel and project details are maintained throughout their lifecycles.

  • Liaise with PDM and Project Engineers to review project programmes, report back to Programme Managers.

  • Work closely with the Project Delivery teams to provide succinct and clear information and ensure smooth and successful project delivery.

  • Develop methodology for driving improved data records within corporate systems such as Activ to ensure that regular and comprehensive status updates are achieved by the relevant parties.

  • Challenge plans and generate focus on planning from final delivery milestones to ensure that anticipated goals are met throughout delivery rather than working to the Delivery Milestone 4 only.

  • Produce regular progress reports on all projects to help inform Delivery On Time, risks and issues, and IOS overall performance.

  • Ensure robust evidence is regularly updated and auditable to confirm the required efficiencies have been achieved.

  • Lead on maintaining and updating the IOS Risk and Opportunity Log, ensuring information is accurate, current, and reflects emerging and ongoing risks, working closely with delivery teams to capture progress updates and report critical and high-level risks to IOS Leadership Meetings.

  • Experience of managing or working in a project team.

  • Knowledge and appreciation of risk analysis.
