Job Description

Flow Delivery Engineer – Flow Compliance

Make a visible difference. Protect the environment. Deliver right-first-time outcomes.

Location: Anglian Water region (site-based with travel)

Contract: Permanent | Full time

Team: Water Recycling – Catchment Flow Compliance

Salary: Circa £43,000 per annum

For a great career, just add water. Real sites. Real challenges. Real impact.

Ready to take on a role where your work genuinely protects the environment?

We’re looking for a hands-on, delivery-driven Flow Delivery Engineer to tackle flow compliance challenges across our Water Recycling assets. This isn’t a desk-only role — it’s real engineering delivery on live sites, working side-by-side with operational teams and partners to deliver improvements that truly matter.

If you thrive on ownership, enjoy working at pace, and want to see the real-world impact of what you deliver — you’ll feel right at home here.

What you’ll be doing (the exciting bit)

Turning challenges into action. Turning plans into outcomes.

You’ll take end-to-end ownership of flow compliance work packages, turning problems into practical, delivered solutions:

• Deliver flow compliance interventions on operational sites — safely, efficiently, and right first time

• Scope, plan and drive delivery to agreed cost, programme and quality

• Spot risks early (delivery, safety, compliance) and act decisively — escalating when needed

• Champion health, safety and wellbeing — because nothing is more important

• Work as one team with Operations, Engineers, Data teams and delivery partners to get results

• Keep records audit-ready — ensuring asset, performance and cost data is accurate and complete

• Improve the way we work — bringing ideas, learning and smarter ways of delivering into the team

What you’ll need to succeed

You don’t need to know everything on day one — but you do need the right mindset: ownership, curiosity, and a drive to deliver.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/technical discipline

• SMSTS (or equivalent) health & safety qualification

• Knowledge of CDM and safe delivery on operational sites

• Experience managing multiple work packages in a live environment

• Strong planning, organisation and stakeholder communication skills

• Experience in flow compliance, monitoring, or regulatory-driven work is a bonus — but not essential

As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:

· Personal private health care

· Virtual GP for your household

· Bonus scheme

· Competitive pension scheme- Anglian Water double-matches your contributions up to 6%

· 26 days annual leave rising with length of service

· Employee Assistance Programme

· Excellent family friendly policies, such as 26 weeks full pay for Maternity/Adoption leave

Why join us?

Because what you do here really matters.

• Deliver outcomes with genuine environmental impact

• Be part of a team focused on safety, compliance and continuous improvement • Grow your capability and build your delivery career • Competitive salary and benefits package

Our customers come from all walks of life, and we want our teams to reflect that. We’re committed to building a workplace where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.

We proudly support:
