The Volontariat International en Entreprise (VIE) is a unique global program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty. It allows Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to gain paid, high-value international experience in technical or commercial fields.

The VIE program is a specific contract subject to Business France eligibility criteria.

Key VIE Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a citizen of the European Union (plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein).
  • Must be a graduate and aged 28 or under .
  • Must have fulfilled national military service obligations (if applicable).

VIE Duration: 12 to 24 months.

A Finance VIE position is available within Airbus in Japan. You will join the Finance department, with a starting date as soon as possible in 2026 .

Well-established in Japan through strategic partnerships, Airbus aims to sustain its local activities by structuring its Finance team. This is a prime opportunity for a VIE to discover the diverse range of Airbus activities in Japan.

Missions and Responsibilities

As part of the Airbus Japan Finance team, you will be responsible for the following core activities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and forecasts for the Airbus Japan entity.
  • Reporting: Under the direct supervision of the Head of Finance, you will handle numerous reports and budget monitoring tasks.
  • Support: Assisting the Management Control team and standardizing specific processes (CAPEX, Grants, structural cost base, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and ARM access, rolling inventories, shareholder reporting, Treasury, Forecasts).
  • Compliance: Updating processes implemented since 2025 and monitoring Internal Control Self-Assessment (ICSA) processes.

The position is based at the Kobe plant , but business trips to Tokyo are expected (once or twice a month) to support financial activities at the Airbus headquarters; you must therefore be willing to travel accordingly.

Required Skills

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business/Marketing and/or an Engineering degree.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a finance-related role.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mindset: Ability to work effectively in a team while remaining autonomous.
  • Interest: Strong interest in the aerospace industry or high-tech products.
  • Culture: Good knowledge of Asia and its diverse cultures.
  • Languages: Fluent English (negotiation level); Japanese (intermediate level).
