Supply Chain Quality Manager

With 1800 people from 24 nationalities spread across 11 countries daily working with 3000+ suppliers to deliver 2.3 millions parts per day to Airbus FALs & Plants, Procurement Operations is both an international and challenging environment.

Our activity represents around 80% of an aircraft.

In the open position, we are looking for a tandem/ hybrid function, working in both segments Quality conformance management and Supply Chain Quality management. The open position will be located in Manila, the Philippines, requiring frequent travelling.

Quality Conformance Management (d/f/m)

At Procurement Operations Cabin Conformance Management, you will perform First Article Inspection checks and Source Inspections of cabin equipment parts like seats, galleys, lavatories, etc. with regards to quality standards, engineering data and specifications, supplier drawings as well as aviation authority and Airbus requirements at suppliers sites worldwide. This includes frequent travel within Europe and even abroad which means that a valid passport is as
much required as fluent English skills.

In this role, you will have to represent Airbus as a quality wall in front of the supplier and the customer. You will identify and evaluate internal and external (industry, authorities, legal) requirements of quality processes and initiate / follow up quality improvement measurements from FAI to aircraft delivery. You will analyze data to identify non-conformities to lead and drive the resolution of
complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects. You will support investigations and root cause analysis from reported quality / technical issues from shopfloor team and various stakeholders as well as driving Cabin Conformance Management internal process improvements.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
• Conduction of First Article Inspection and Source Inspection
• Process performance and product adherence to given standards
• Reliability of processes
• Repeatability of processes
Accountability:
• Accountable for conformity and responsible for documentation stating safe operation for
all cabin parts and some cargo work packages released to the FALs, plants, customers
and integrators

• Accountable for witnessing the suppliers’ FAI for Cabin&Cargo and planning and
execution SI checks. This is for both linefit and to ensure direct deliveries to the
customer in After Sales Service

Supply Chain Quality Manager (SCQM)

In your Supply Chain Quality Manager role, you will manage/ contribute to contract execution, being responsible for supplier On Quality On Time (OQOT) performance. You will perform an effective control of supplier activities, securing a close understanding of supplier overall situation and scope. You will implement recovery, improvement and development plan in order to secure delivery of the products and services in conformity with contract, covering quality, delivery aspects. Coordination of all the stakeholders involved in the supplier operations management and contribution to the corresponding Multi-Functional or Divisional Team (MFT/MDT) will also be in your hands.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Act as interface with suppliers for operational activities:
  
• Assess suppliers during tendering phase and contribute to the selection decision
  
• Manage/ contribute to supply chain & quality aspects of the contract being responsible for On time, on Quality (and on Cost when applicable) performance
  
• Manage supplier quality Approval to ensure that suppliers are compliant with certifications required in coordination with relevant stakeholders
  
• Monitor or support new product introduction, ToW, changes, to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase
  
• Assess the Supplier capacity, capability & performance and contribute to the Supplier development
  
• Identify the supplier's industrial risks and propose mitigation actions
  
• Work out short term recovery plans
  
• Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects
  
• Report on supplier operational performance
  
• Apply the current associated tools to manage all activities related to supplier management
  

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Quality conformance & Supply Chain Quality experience with regards to cabin interior
  
• Preferably experienced in FAI and / or SI as well as in the role and/ or interference with SCQM
  
• Experience in interference with suppliers
  
• Self-organized work (knows his/ her responsibilities, well familiar with E&C)
  
• Flexibility in regards to working time and availability for travels
  
• Assertive in communication
  
• International car driving licence is mandatory
  
• Experience in the aircraft industry is mandatory
  
• Fluent in English
  
• Have a good working knowledge of Google Workspace applications
