Simulator Integration & Verification Engineer - Eurofighter PSTS (d/m/f)

As an integration & verification engineer you're responsible for integrating and maintaining software items in the PSTS (Pilot Synthetic Training System) training environment. You will be acting as an integration & verification engineer mainly for the P3E (Phase 3 Evolution) EF project. You will be a member of the PSTS system engineering and verification team (SE, V&V) and report to both the integration manager and the head of system engineering & verification.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Provision and documentation of the system test definition for the relevant SW Simulation Items, mainly related to P3E project.
  
• Support SW installation and maintenance of all PSTS training devices, when required.
  
• Generation of test stories/test cases for several training devices, for P3E project, taking into account L1 Requirements, as main activity.
  
• Perform Level 1 requirement verification based on the written test stories, directly on the Training Devices.
  
• Testing of design changes as result of hardware modifications.
  
• Performance of HW/SW System tests and documentation of test result, as formal Test Reports.
  
• Support acceptance tests and qualification activities with services and the final customer.
  
• Ensure that technical and design issues for the Simulation Item are resolved, when specifically testing SW changes from developing teams.
  
• Report status information to the Integration Manager and Chief Engineer.
  
• Support creation of relevant KPIs (Key Progress Indicator) for Verification and Validation process.
  

Desired skills and qualifications

• University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  
• Strong knowledge of system integration processes within the standard V-model framework.
  
• Experience with Requirements Management tools, specifically IBM DOORS, is highly desirable.
  
• Solid understanding of software/system testing activities and requirements traceability.
  
• Prior experience with Eurofighter simulation environments and verification processes is a significant plus.
  
• Proficient in MS Office applications. Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (C, C++, Python, Perl, Ada, Windows, Linux) is an asset.
  
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to thrive in a multi-cultural and international environment.
