Description:

A position of Service Delivery Leader is open within the IM entity of Airbus commercial - Mainframe Services. You will join the AIRBUS IT Mainframe Services team, which is responsible for the planning and the operations of the infrastructure for major business-critical applications for the Aircraft production. This also includes the responsibility for the monitoring and operations of thousands of batch jobs and batch job chains.

We are serving the Business in all Airbus Core countries: Germany, France, Great Britain and Spain.

It will be your responsibility to represent the Mainframe Product to internally Airbus and external partners and will guarantee that all the services are being well delivered to our internal customers.

You will synchronize operations between your customer's peers and our Service Delivery Partners, who are in charge of mainframe infrastructure operations.

You are responsible for the delivery of services from the Service Provider according to the SLAs.

Based on your expertise, you will provide support to the operation and development teams. Also, you take part in troubleshooting/bug fixing and training activities.

Together with the team, you will have the responsibility to deal with other internal teams, such as Engineering, manufacturing and customer services, to continuously improve the daily operations in delivering the service and in the on-boarding process of new services.

In relevant projects you will represent the Mainframe Product and will actively contribute to internal optimization activities.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor/ Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology. Experience with Mainframe environment (at least 3 years).

PRIMARY Skills

Good knowledge of Mainframe infrastructure / operating system in general:
z/OS, JES2, TSO, ISPF, SDSF, JCL

Basic knowledge of

• Transactional subsystems: CICS, IMS/DC
  
• Database: DB2, IMS/DB
  
• Security systems: RACF
  
• Monitors: e.g Mainview
  
• Languages: COBOL, PL/I, REXX, CLIST
  
• Storage: SMS, HSM, ...
  
• Printers: VPS, IPS
  
• Output management: RMDS, BETA
  
• File transfer: NVFTP, FTP, sftp
  
• Non Mainframe knowledge like Google Suite
  

Advanced level of English

GOOD TO HAVE

• French and/or German knowledge will be an added advantage
  
• Knowledge of other Mainframe tools like: DFSORT, SYNCSORT, FileAID IMS, JAVA, FOCUS, LIBRARIAN, Schedulers (e.g. CA7, Control-M, PCC, TWS,)

Responsibilities

Manage supplier contracts, e.g. quality and performance of service delivery

Track and report on KPIs

Manage finance and budget topics

Act as interface between Application/developer and Mainframe infrastructure

Analyze impact of changes to the service

Coordinate changes between Application and Mainframe infrastructure teams

Review and challenge application requests / needs

Investigate and manage incidents

Manage internal projects and support on IM projects

Perform continuous improvement in terms of performance, functionality, complexity, costs

Support business and IM functions

Support on security topics
