In order to support our global logistics network and mission-critical operations, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for aSenior Transport Project Manager (d/f/m)

You will join a dedicated logistics team where precision meets agility, ensuring that our high-tech assets reach their destination safely, legally, and on time.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive concepts for national and international military transports while ensuring 100% compliance with legal and safety regulations.
- End-to-End Project Lead: Take full responsibility for the planning, organization, and execution of inbound and outbound transport projects-from the initial tender phase to final delivery-balancing time, cost, and quality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Navigate complex export control, military regulations, and international trade laws to ensure seamless cross-border movements.
- Risk & Safety Management: Conduct detailed risk analyses and develop robust safety concepts; create and monitor budgets while maintaining strict cost control.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal departments, government authorities, and external partners to streamline processes and provide regular status reporting to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze existing processes to identify synergies and optimization potential, driving efficiency and quality across the logistics chain.
Desired skills and qualifications
- Education: A completed degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
- Professional Experience: Several years of expertise in project management within transport and logistics, ideally with a focus on military environments or sensitive cargo.
- Regulatory Mastery: Deep familiarity with international transport regulations (ADR, IMDG, IATA-DGR) and a clear understanding of export control frameworks (e.g., ITAR, EAR, EU Dual-Use, KrWaffKontrG).
- Communication: Excellent command of both English and German (written and spoken); additional languages are a valued asset in our international team.
- Soft Skills: High sense of responsibility, resilience under pressure, and a collaborative team spirit combined with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
