Prestwick Aerosystems is proud to continue Ayrshire’s long-standing aircraft manufacturing tradition. From our Prestwick site, we manufacture aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. The Opportunity:

Accountable for the development and optimisation of manufacturing systems including robotic and numerically controlled programmes to satisfy automation equipment.

How you will contribute to the team:
• You will be responsible for providing manufacturing systems solutions through the application of industrial engineering.
• You will create and amend NC Programmes.
• You will support the creation of programming data through liaison with the Design and Manufacturing disciplines.
• You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of programming simulation models.
• You will be responsible for manipulating 3D data to support manufacturing processes.
• You will provide technical guidance and training to the business to support efficient manufacturing systems programming.
• You will be responsible for the management of tools and cutters to support manufacturing operations.

About you:
• Experience of Manufacturing Systems Programming Techniques
• Conversant in 3D modelling techniques
• Have a good knowledge of the capabilities of a range of different PDM tools
• Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems and equipment
• HND level or equivalent experience in Manufacturing or Technology related discipline - desirable
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills - interface with customers and suppliers.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages - Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access
