SECURITY CLEARANCE: Involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicants to be UK Nationals Only (No Dual Nationals) and able to be security cleared to a UK Eyes Only SC level

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional travel within UK

LOCATION: Portsmouth, Hybrid Working Pattern

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join Airbus Defence & Space working on Ground Control systems for Military Satellite Communications in Portsmouth, UK. The Systems Engineer will provide support to the Delivery of a Milsatcom Ground Control system.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Requirements analysis, traceability and verification.
  • Bill of Materials / Assembly Tree Management.
  • Integration, Verification Validation and Test (IVV&T) support.
  • Problem Definition, Non-Conformance and Observation recording and tracking.
  • Systems Engineering inputs as required - to support planning, schedule and cost activities.
  • Ground System level architectural design definition and trade-offs.
  • Technical proposal inputs and support to bidding teams


ABOUT YOU

  • University degree or equivalent in a related discipline
  • System of Systems or Large Scale Integration Experience
  • Experience of engagement with customers and partners
  • Working understanding of satellite control
