Job Objectives
- Take the lead globally and be accountable in meeting OEM Product Management revenue, profitability growth and operational performance objectives
- Develop and execute on business plans to achieve growth targets of the assigned product lines in alignment with Satair/ Airbus objectives.
- Ensure that the market is serviced in an efficient way by building long term relationships with suppliers and customers and maintaining an offer through product and service development that provides superior value to aircraft operators and MROs
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute plans to achieve all established business objectives for the assigned product lines.
- Demonstrate agility to adapt product lines strategies in line with the latest market developments.
- Lead the governance with regard to Product Management related to operational and financial performance from target proposal (AOP, Forecast) to follow-ups
- Prepare and maintain relevant Product Management dashboards and reports to track/ communicate performances including root causes analyses where relevant
- Conduct Business Review Meetings with OEM partners to effectively communicate business trending / outlook, market development as well as operational performance in order to reinforce OEMs’ confidence in Satair’s ability to deliver on value propositions.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with multiple levels including senior leadership of the OEM Partners to enhance partnerships with Satair.
- Further expand the market position in terms of existing distributor agreements
- Lead contract negotiation with OEM partners, including collaborating with Management, Legal and Finance (business case).
- Support Planning and Supply Management teams in optimizing inventory, reaching inventory and operational performance goals.
- Run campaigns/events focused on suppliers and customers
- Drive and develop sales activities in close collaboration with commercial organization
- Follow-up on Budget/Gaps on customer level
- Joint Customer visit with suppliers and/or with commercial teams (incl. at tradeshows and customer sites)
- Support commercial teams in contract bids
- Provide product training to other teams within Satair when required
- Participate in relevant commercial meetings
Secondary responsibilities
- Support Sales in maintaining and winning new business
- Drive and support improvement projects to enhance customer satisfaction, and achieve better CSIP results.
Job Requirements
- Commercial education or an engineering degree combined with a commercial understanding, or 3-5 years of product, program or supply chain management experience
- Strong business acumen
- Knowledge about the product management discipline
- Proven ability to meet and exceed profitability targets consistently
- High degree of aviation business understanding specifically in the area of spares support, supply chain management, maintenance, understanding of support obligations from aircraft purchase agreements
- Frequent travelling (30 - 50%)
- Strong team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Good analytical skill; ability to see the bigger picture and derive mid to long term recommendations on way forward
- Ability to balance and align varying interests of stakeholders
- Diplomatic sense and open/‘out-of-silo’ mind-set, ability to build successful relations across functions and with all stakeholders
- Ability to work in an international context
