Job Description:

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) Consultant with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP MM solutions in the manufacturing sector. A key focus of this position includes SAP Master Data Management (MDM), Material Master & Business Partner Data , handling LSMW/LTMC and IDoc-based interfaces across cross-functional enterprise systems.
In this role, you should have good functional knowledge in standard SAP Materials Management module along with integration with other SAP modules specially SAP PP. He/She should be comfortable with the functionality and Maintenance of Master Data such as Material master, Bill of Material, Routings, Work centers, etc.

The candidate should have worked on integrated systems and should be comfortable with monitoring of interfaces and applications and IDoc flows. The candidate must be familiar with working on heavily customized objects. A basic understanding of SAP ABAP along with debugging would be given preference.

He/she should be familiar with Incident Management and Problem Management along with an understanding of Business priority and criticality. He/she should have also worked on Change Management processes.

The concerned domain is Application Services for Aircraft Manufacturing and production. The candidate, if selected, will work in an international, distributed and multi-functional team; using an agile mind-set and methodology.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead key business requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support for SAP MM
  
• As a SAP functional Consultant, candidate should have capability to design and optimize processes in Materials Management and other related domains
  
• Own end-to-end strategy for Material Master and Business Partner (BP / Vendor / Customer) migration in S/4HANA.
  
• Plan, execute, and validate data migration activities using SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM) and LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench).
  
• Define data conversion rules, field mapping, data cleansing, profiling, and validation mechanisms for Material Master and BP records.
  
• Lead mock migrations, cutover execution, delta loads, and post-go-live data reconciliation.
  
• Design, build, test, and troubleshoot IDoc interfaces for SAP systems and third-party systems
  
• Handle IDoc monitoring, partner profiles, message type configurations, and error handling for inbound/outbound MM transactions.
  
• Provide best in class level of service to Airbus internal customers
  
• Understand business processes and technical architecture of Airbus application portfolio
  
• Prepare root cause analysis and propose improvements
  
• Identify and propose continuous service improvement
  

Required Skills and Experience

• Graduate with 5 - 8 years of experience in SAP MM/Sourcing and Procurement with at least 1-2 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation/migration projects.
  
• Migration Tools: Hands-on experience with LSMW and SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM).
  
• Master Data Expertise: Deep hands-on proficiency in Material Master structures and S/4HANA Business Partner (BP) synchronization and migration.
  
• Integration & Interfaces: Proven experience setting up, testing, and monitoring IDoc interfaces (EDI / ALE) for automated data flows.
  

• Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chain workflows, MRP and shop-floor procurement.
  
• S/4HANA Innovations: Working knowledge of Fiori apps, SAP MDG, and MRP Live.
  
• Responsible for the conceptual design of innovative solutions in the SAP MM and other linked modules.
  
• Expertise on Routings, BOM , work centers and be familiar with the related data model
  
• Should have experience of working in Implementation, Testing, Specification creation/updates at Project level
  
• Ability to perform planning, analysis, designing, requirement definition, functional design, testing and implementation of solution
  
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Customer focussed skill. Worked with European customers/clients.
  
• Good understanding of Agile and SAFE Methodologies is a plus.
  

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• SAP MM / S/4HANA Procurement Certification.
  
• Basic knowledge SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) integration, SAP MDG (Master Data Governance).
  
• Exposure to Agile / SAP Activate methodology.

• Excellent cross-functional coordination and stakeholder communication skills.
  
• Ability to lead client workshop sessions and mentor junior team members.
