Are you a Security Professional who loves what you do and has a real passion for the Security industry? This role is to assist the Head of Site Security to deliver a robust Security framework that protects Airbus from the prevailing threat environment whilst protecting Airbus’ bottom line.

You will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of Protective Security Processes, Security Risk Assessment Methodology, Events Planning, People Safety at Work and Security Systems Implementation and Operation. Understanding of and adherence to extant policies and frameworks is vital. You will have direct input into the delivery of operational security activities including self-delivered and third-party solutions.

• Confidentiality, integrity and availability of Airbus, personnel, assets, information and equipment.
  
• Supportive security and safety of contractors and visitors to our site.
  
• Fire Safety, including fire fighting and risk assessments.
  
• Emergency Planning for our industrial activities, including the provision of rescue service.
  

What Will You Be Doing?

You will collaborate closely with the Filton Security, Response, Reception and Systems teams to ensure the effective delivery of operational security, providing project management, strategic guidance, and tailored solutions that support Filton’s operational and delivery objectives.

This will include, but is not limited to:

• Oversee and contribute to the implementation of protective security activities, ensuring compliance with established policies and framework requirements.
  
• Jointly manage Security Service Providers, driving proactive oversight and performance optimisation
  
• Collaborate in the management of security risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and continuous improvements.
  
• First point of escalation for any security systems issues or faults.
  
• Lead and support the implementation of Emergency Response protocols, ensuring readiness and alignment with best practices.
  
• Provide strategic security input into event and project planning, ensuring risk assessments and security measures are effectively integrated.
  
• Coordinate and manage security arrangements for events and temporary deployments, ensuring robust protection and operational continuity for special projects such as, high-profile visits and critical operations.
  
• Ensure service providers adhere to Airbus internal standards, contractual KPIs, and Airbus security initiatives, maintaining high-performance and compliance levels.
  
• Ensure adherence to Filton Safety rules, embedding security considerations into operational processes.
  
• Conduct audits and oversee compliance of security suppliers, ensuring alignment with contractual and regulatory obligations.
  
• Leverage your expertise to drive continuous improvement, refining security processes and procedures in collaboration with the wider team.
  
• Work within a multifunctional team, providing support across all functions based upon operational and business priorities.
  
• Drive operational priorities via MfT/drumbeat meetings to track and progress operational delivery and performance against team objectives.

Other Duties

• Manage the performance of security practices and service provider operations, driving continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  
• Generate and present reports as required, providing insights and analysis to support functional goals and decision-making.
  
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with plant managers and business leaders, ensuring effective collaboration for the successful implementation of security initiatives.
  
• Lead investigations into theft and fraud allegations, near misses, and road traffic incidents, ensuring thorough analysis and resolution in line with security protocols.
  
• Deputise in high-level meetings in the absence of the Head of Security or Security Manager.
  

Key Skills

You must have/ demonstrate the following:

• A Level 5 qualification in Security Management or equivalent professional experience is essential.
  
• A proven background in security management within large operational environments, with extensive experience in commercial or industrial sectors.
  
• Demonstrable expertise in applying Security Risk Management principles, assessing and mitigating risks in complex environments.
  
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to analyse and address complex security challenges effectively.
  
• Ability to achieve government Security Clearance (SC) and successfully complete a BPSS+.
  

DESIRABLE SKILLS

You should have/ demonstrate the following skills:

• Experience with Security Systems, including proficiency in G-Suite and other essential tools.
  
• Previous experience in managing security contractors is desirable, but not essential.
  
• Ability to travel at short notice, and responsiveness to operational needs.
  

Required Certifications:

Security Clearances desired by not essential - SC clearance will be required for successful candidate.

Must be able to pass UK Civil Aviation Enhanced vetting and training.
