In order to support the Completion & Delivery digital Product and Service Line (PSL), Airbus is looking for a PSL Architect (d/f/m)

We are seeking a visionary and experienced PSL Architect to join our Product & Service Line. This PSL embeds all digital products related to the completion and delivery of all Commercial Aircraft across our global delivery centers. You will be the technical authority for our service line, ensuring that the solutions we build are robust, scalable, and perfectly aligned with the company's global digital strategy.

This PSL embeds all the digital Product related to the following business activities :

  • The Completion & delivery of all Commercial Aircrafts in all delivery centers, in the flight line for ALL programs and for ALL Sites:Toulouse / Tianjin / Mobile / Hamburg / Mirabel
  • The products and means used to communicate with the customer during the delivery of the aircraft that he is purchasing: Invitations, Orientation during visits in Plant/FAL,Technical Status, Request of Rework, planning dates, ...relying on the data which are managed within other Business Products
  • The product & tools used to measure & drumbeat the progress of the Aircraft from end of manufacturing to delivery of the Aircraft: prioritization of Aircraft, Live technical status, escalation of critical Items, allocation/management of teams, efficiency of Actors
  • The preparation & execution of the tests of the aircraft on production Aircrafts: Noise detection, scheduling of flights, preparation of flights


Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Additional locations possible are Toulouse or Blagnac.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Translate complex business requirements into technical architectures and end-to-end solutions leveraging the core technology stack.
  • Technical Governance: Act as the lead technical authority for the PSL, defining the architectural vision, standards, and roadmaps.
  • Hybrid Cloud Architecture: Design and oversee implementations across public (AWS) and private cloud (Openshift) platforms.
  • SAP Integration: Ensure digital continuity between Customer Line activities and Manufacturing backbones (MES, S/4HANA) to prevent redundancy.
  • DevOps Enablement: Champion DevOps principles and CI/CD toolchains to foster agility and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with stakeholders and enterprise architects to accelerate digital transformation goals.
  • Innovation: Evaluate emerging technology trends and conduct proof-of-concepts to drive competitive advantage.


Desired skills and qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an IT Architect managing both agile projects and long-term operational stability (Build & Run).
  • Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services and containerization/orchestration via Red Hat Openshift or Kubernetes.
  • Functional understanding : Able to understand the functional requirements and specificities for Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Operations in a Aircraft industry
  • Technical Stack: In-depth knowledge of modern programming (Java, .NET), DevOps methodologies, and API management (MuleSoft).
  • SAP Architecture: Demonstrable experience with SAP architecture within a manufacturing context.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate technical details to business stakeholders and guide technical teams.
  • Languages: Full professional proficiency in English.
