Role Overview
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Product Owner (f/m) to join our DevSecOps platforms and collaboration tools team. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end strategy, development, and evolution of two critical internal platforms: DevX (focused on web application frameworks and libraries) and DevOps Mobile (powering our global mobile application ecosystem).
You will lead a diverse, international team of engineers across Europe and India to build "in-house" solutions hosted on AWS, ensuring that Airbus developers can build, secure, and deploy software at scale using world-class DevSecOps standards.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
As the Product Owner, you are the bridge between technical excellence and business value. Your main responsibilities include:
- Vision & Roadmap Management: Define the long-term strategy for the DevX and Mobile platforms. Translate complex technical requirements into a clear, prioritized backlog that aligns with Airbus’s digital transformation goals.
- Stakeholder & Advocacy: Act as the primary interface for global stakeholders. Manage expectations, escalate risks proactively, and prepare Annual Operating Plans (AOP) to ensure sustainable funding and growth.
- Customer-Centric Growth: Drive user adoption by treating the platform as a product. Oversee the entire journey from developer onboarding to L2/L3 support, ensuring a frictionless "Developer Experience."
- Delivery Excellence: Lead agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, reviews). Work closely with architects and technical experts to ensure features are delivered on time, with high quality and security compliance.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Define, automate, and share key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics with management, detailing platform health, adoption rates, and ROI.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Synchronize with the broader DevSecOps organization to ensure seamless integration with core tools like GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
Must Have:
- Product Leadership: Proven experience managing complex technical products or services at scale, with a deep understanding of backlog grooming, release management, and adoption metrics.
- Technical Ecosystem: A strong DevSecOps culture with a solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Cloud-native architectures (AWS).
- Agile Mindset: Expertise in Agile methodologies and the ability to lead distributed teams across different time zones (Europe and India).
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical "toil" into business value for senior management.
- User Focus: A passion for improving the daily lives of software engineers through automation and standardization.
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on Background: Previous experience in software development (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
- Mobile Expertise: Understanding of mobile-specific CI/CD challenges, including framework management and app store distribution (Apple App Store / Google Play).

- Platform Adoption: Increase in the number of internal projects migrating to DevX and Mobile platforms.
- Velocity & Quality: The team’s ability to maintain a predictable delivery cadence while reducing technical debt.
- Developer Satisfaction (Net Promoter Score): Ensuring the platform reduces friction for Airbus developers rather than adding complexity.
- Global Synergy: Successful collaboration and "bonding" between the European and Indian engineering hubs.
