Subject to the successful closing of the transaction with Spirit, after obtaining relevant regulatory approvals
Overall, a Process Manager has first line management responsibility with scope built around an agreed manufacturing process. The role will be accountable for SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People) adherence to standards and achievement of objectives for a defined business operational process; and responsible for executing and implementing the business production schedule. The manager's span of control consists of 30 operators at a minimum.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM.
- Responsible for the daily management of Process Performance, People, Machines, Materials, Methods and Measurement of Performance and Improvement.
- Adds value through operation of an effective process that continuously improves Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP) and through operation of an effective AOS Management System.
- Conducts regularly Daily / Weekly / Monthly reviews of SQCDP metrics
- Ensures that the manufacturing process meets Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and Airworthiness requirements following the correct processes
- Leads and supports defect investigations and structured problem solving
- Hosts the Process Manager / Shift Manager's shift meeting attended by Team Coordinators / Lead Hands.
- Contributes to Departmental Improvement Projects and Tactical Improvement Plans (TIPs)
ABOUT YOU
- Background in Manufacturing or Engineering
- Sound understanding of Lean Working Methodologies
- Experience in high volume/high variety production of complex aircraft products and systems
- Comprehensive understanding of SQCDP
- Knowledge of operational activities in the production environment
- Computer literacy and proficiency using IT applications including Microsoft Office, Google and relevant business tools such as SAP / ARP or Maxim
- Cost management expertise
- Strong leadership traits to motivate and develop others
- Outstanding team building skills
- Ability to facilitate change management and continuous improvement initiatives
