Job scope (core activities):
- Lead Vibroacoustics simulations to characterize the dynamic response of structures subjected to airborne engine noise and structure-borne engine vibration.
- Develop Acoustic Simulation Workflows using advanced acoustic simulation tools to assess sound transmission and acoustic pressure fields across relevant structural components.
- Validation of simulation methods through correlation with measurements and calibrating the models
- Carrying out Root Cause Analysis and support resolving inservice issues
- Develop new simulation methods to make simulations more credible
- Automating simulation lifecycle processes to reduce manual efforts and simulation timelines
- Explore digitization techniques such as AI / ML to augment simulations
Required Domain Expertise:
- Deep fundamental understanding of Computational structural mechanics and Dynamics, wave propagation and structural response mechanisms specifically driven by airborne and structure-borne aircraft engine noise.
- Advanced knowledge of Acoustic Simulation Tools and Finite Element Analysis
- Experience in Vibroacoustics measurements
- Knowledge of scripting languages
- Awareness of advanced technologies such as AI and ML
- Very good analytical and reasoning skills
- Strong aptitude for problem solving
- Broad technology exposure
