We are looking for a highly motivated IT Business Analyst to join Airbus in our GBS office in Lisbon.

This role is responsible for the operational IT support for systems and applications in "run mode" ensuring a smooth experience to end-users.

The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a passion for troubleshooting with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain critical IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support to internal teams or end-users, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Perform and automate routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, backups, and security checks.
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal APIs and data interfaces to integrate systems, expand product capabilities, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Document incidents, problems, and solutions to build a robust knowledge base

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Proven development skills in one or more of the following: Python, C#, JavaScript, Java.
  • Experience with Shell batch scripting (Bash and/or Powershell)
  • Experience with relational database management and querying.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GenAI technologies is a plus.


Soft Skills:

  • Fluent level of English.
  • A strong willingness to learn, adapt and develop new skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a focus on root-cause analysis.
  • Good documentation and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive mindset with a relentless focus on continuous improvement and reducing manual work.


Educational and Professional Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field ( or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2-3 years of experience in similar hybrid IT/Software roles (IT Product Engineering, SRE, DevOps, or heavily automated Systems Engineering).
