Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Industrial Means & Measurement Project Manager (f/m) to join our Industrial Services team based in Toulouse, France.

You will join the Industrial Services team for the Toulouse FALs. You will be responsible for leading acquisition projects related to Industrial Means that include Measurement Systems. You will oversee all phases and milestones, from translating user needs into functional and technical specifications to user acceptance, archiving of technical documentation, and entry into service.

Your challenges :

  • Lead acquisition projects for assembly tools related to measurement, coordinating and managing the project team (handling client requests, drafting specifications, validating the budget, consolidating delivery milestones, defining objectives, acceptance criteria, etc.).
  • Analyze customer needs and translate them into functional and product requirements through the drafting of a Specifications Document.
  • Ensure project delivery with the quality level expected by the client.
  • Participate in functional testing by applying the V&V (Verify & Validate) methodology to ensure the maturity and performance of industrial resources.
  • Manage and anticipate risks/unforeseen events (risk analyses).
  • Communicate on project progress and manage the achievement of key milestones (validation by the decision committee, etc.).
  • Maintain dashboards to report on project status and monitor/coordinate stakeholders’ actions.
  • Lead and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Prepare project documentation (offer analysis, tender files, specifications, test plans, etc.).
  • Participate in design studies and optimize technical solutions with suppliers.
  • Ensure the functional design and qualification of assembly tools subject to geometric inspection.
  • Validate and provide technical support for the implementation of geometric verification sequences for tools.
  • Ensure the management of periodic geometric inspections (PGI) of tools subject to periodic verification.
  • Provide reporting to management/decision committees to approve and determine milestone achievements, and define strategies in case of deviations.
  • Stay active in technological monitoring to propose innovative and sustainable solutions aimed at improving industrial resource performance.
  • Conduct obsolescence, aging, and reliability analyses on our industrial resources involving measurement, and propose solutions for securing or replacing them.
  • Provide operational support to maintainers of our Final Assembly Lines in Toulouse (support in case of production stops, assistance during molding/demolding phases, etc.) in relation to implemented modifications.
  • Analyze malfunctions of our industrial resources (understanding, analysis, testing, etc.) to propose solutions and improvement actions.
  • As a measurement specialist, provide support during Quality investigations regarding non-conformities or deviations related to the use of measurement tools.
  • Actively participate in the CTM (Measurement Technical Center) network of the Final Assembly Lines in Toulouse.

  • Ability to understand principles of geometric inspections and metrology requirements for tooling
