A. Accountabilities
- The job holder is for developing aircraft retrofit design and making the design complying with
airworthiness regulations.
- Provides technical solutions for in-service aircraft and on-site support if necessary.
- As HO technical support, set up KPI for team member and routine management
B. Main activities
Operational activities
- Performs the technical analysis of the modification requirements coming from customer for modification solution authoring;
- According to applicable airworthiness regulations, environmental protection and operation requirements, conduct type development and type modification design, generate type design data, provide technical solutions for in-service aircraft;
- Prepares elements required for STC/MDA authoring phase, including aircraft drawings and certification dossier;
- Conduct independent airworthiness compliance checks on all conformity verification data;
- Confirm the design conformity by signing the conformity document;
- Technical approval of continued airworthiness documents and flight manual supplements;
- Technical approval of the compliance documents provided by supplier;
- Follows up project plan and interfaces with other department;
- Confirm the decision of modification design;
- Eyewitness check if necessary;
- Handle manufacturing deviation and concession acceptance as required
- Provide on-site technical support according the customer request
- Team management including goal setting, manpower control, performance follow up and ability development, etc.

- Partially cabin modification sales support to commercial team

- CSIP for technical support
Operational Outputs
- STC/MDA design solution; compliance verification and delivery.
- Technical query answer to the customer regarding the design solution implementation;

D.Qualifications
Education: College degree or above, majored in engineering
Experience:
- At least 5 years in aircraft modification engineering design, with comprehensive airworthiness experience and knowledge related to their field of expertise;
- Experience from aircraft OEM or design organization with relevant practice on ATA25 is desired;
- Have successful experience in working with authority staff in aviation product design conformance verification activities, and have Designated Engineering Representative(DER) working experience is preferred;
- At least 3 years team leader for engineering team management.
Basic Skills:
- Knowledge of airworthiness regulations, environmental protection and operation requirements
- Knowledge of aeronautical/mechanical/avionics engineering;
- Knowledge on aircraft design or system installation principles;
- Knowledge of aircraft configuration management rule;
- Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and English
- Team spirit and effective communication.
Certifications:
- Civil aviation maintenance personnel license and marked English level 3 or above
- CAAC approved CVE is prefered
