Group Manager - RPA & Agentic Automation

Airbus is looking for a Group Manager leading the RPA and Agentic Automation team , to join the Bangalore, India location.

This role will be part of the Digital function and is responsible for leading the expansion and industrialization of our enterprise automation ecosystem. The successful candidate will manage a team of Intelligent Automation and Support professionals , ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and resilient automated processes. The Intelligent automation team is transitioning to harness all automation technologies, Agentic AI, RPA, Python code etc.

He/she shall establish team goals by evaluating, identifying & understanding the business strategy and technical trends as well. The candidate must balance strong strategic leadership with a hands-on approach , stepping in to design or build complex processes using UiPath when required, while driving the adoption of advanced AI-powered automation features across the enterprise.

Qualification & Experience:

• Graduate/Post Graduate with 15+ years of experience in RPA, Automation and Software Engineering.
  
• At least 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in developing, architecting, and deploying enterprise-grade solutions using the UiPath platform.
  
• Proven track record of managing teams of 10+ engineers, focusing on talent development, performance, and workload optimization.
  
• Proficiency in Service Delivery Management, Agile Project Management, and driving continuous process improvement.
  
• Significant experience with the AI side of UiPath, including deep knowledge of UiPath AI Center, Document Understanding, Action Center, and integrating generative AI/LLMs into automation workflows.
  
• Strong ability to work, influence, and communicate effectively in a multicultural environment, with specific experience collaborating with German and French counterparts.
  
• Knowledge of French or German language is a strong plus.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex technical architectures and present them clearly to stakeholder management.
  
• Risk-based approach, creative problem-solving, and an innovative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Hold the full responsibility to lead the RPA and Intelligent Automation team in the right direction to achieve operational success.
  
• Act as a hands-on technical expert; guide the team on UiPath best practices (REFramework, Orchestrator deployment) and directly design or develop complex automation processes when project needs dictate.
  
• Define the automation product strategy, set clear objectives, and design the Intelligent Automation service roadmap.
  
• Drive the adoption of advanced AI/ML capabilities within the UiPath ecosystem to solve complex, unstructured business problems.
  
• Manage resource capabilities and assignments for a team of professionals , balancing Airbus India internal resources and In-situ Suppliers.
  
• Partner with German and French counterparts to align automation pipelines, manage regional governance, and ensure smooth cross-border delivery.
  
• Guides and supports the selection of appropriate automation technologies and tools, making informed "buy versus build" recommendations.
  
• Manage and lead the team on a day-to-day operational basis, driving continuous improvement in bot utilization, maintenance, and development velocity.
  
• Lead the team using a performance management and development process, identifying the right training programs for scaling UiPath and AI skillsets.
  
• Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and coaching.
  
• Work with the Human Resources Team to interview and recruit the right technical talent based on evolving business needs.

Success Metrics

Success will be measured in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:

• Consistently ensuring the on-time delivery, scalability, and quality (first-time-right) of UiPath automations.
  
• Successful integration and scaling of AI capabilities within existing and new RPA workflows.
  
• Driving cost-effective solutions and optimizing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the digital workforce.
  
• Building strong cross-cultural bonding and alignment with European counterparts (German & French business units).
  
• Achieving high customer satisfaction scores (CSAT) from business stakeholders.
