A vacancy for a Missile System Design Responsible (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane.

Within Airbus Helicopters System Division, you will join the “Weapon and Electronic Warfare System” department.

You will be involved in the design of weapon systems for militarized helicopters.

Your challenges

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Translate the customer need into functional and system requirements writing the requirement specification
  • Review the supplier proposal in collaboration with the procurement department
  • Define the development process with the supplier and translate it into the Statement of Work
  • Manage all technical activities with the supplier, for instance the development reviews (design review and qualifications review)
  • Review the integration constraints with the integration team
  • Define the interfaces
  • Contribute to the helicopter system reviews
  • Define the test requirements on the System Integration Rigs and on the helicopters
  • Support the test team during bench and flight tests
  • Assess risks and propose mitigation plans
  • Provide the documentation for certification or qualification


Your profile:

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering
  • 5 years experience in system engineering
  • 5 years experience in weapon systems
  • 5 years experience in supplier technical management
  • Service-mindedness, problem-solving mindset, autonomous, team spirit
  • English , French : Advanced level


This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
