Job Description:
A vacancy for a Functional and System Design Responsible for Navigation Systems (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane.
Mission
You will join a team of 60+ system engineers in our transnational "Navigation & Communication Systems" department in charge of the development and integration of Navigation & Communication systems on all Airbus VTOL platforms. Your mission will consist of system engineering activities and helicopter level integration of localization, flight management, inertial and air data systems.
Tasks & Responsbilities
In this position you will be end-to-end responsible for the development, integration, qualification and certification of Navigation Systems. Your activities will follow the typical V-cycle development process and may include:
- Elaboration of operational concepts and use cases for Navigation Systems
- Requirement engineering, system specification and design
- Integration of Navigation systems (mechanical, electrical, functional)
- Definition of integration, verification and validation strategy Support to rig, ground and flight testing of the resp. system
- Ensure system qualification and certification at H/C level
- Supplier management (pro-active control and monitor) to secure technical requirements of development contracts
- Ensure project execution in accordance with overall H/C level planning
- Stakeholder management with relevant stakeholders throughout the organization e.g. project and program management, procurement, sales etc.
- Participate in offer management and contributing to product sourcing policy
- Application of modern ways of working and agile development methodology where applicable
- Benchmark state-of-the-art situational awareness systems and technologies
- Active contribution to definition of implementation roadmap and product strategy for Navigation systems
- Supporting knowledge exchange within Airbus (all divisions)
Required skills
- Academic studies in the field of Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar
- Comprehensive understanding Systems Engineering methodologies and experience in application
- Experience in system design, development, engineering and/or integration of complex avionics systems
- Knowledge in systems engineering, requirements engineering and integration in the field of avionics
- A previous experience with agile methodology (Scrum, SAFe) would be beneficial
- Experience in Supplier Management
- Team Spirit, good communication skills and experience in stakeholder management
- Language skills: English business fluent / negotiation level, knowledge of French, German or Spanish would be an advantage
