AIRBUS offers more than 70 vacancies for our full time graduate programme in Spain - #DISCOVER I 2025/2026 - Starting date 3rd March 2025.
We are looking for recent graduates from different disciplines interested in developing their professional career in the aeronautical sector. The current context demands different ways of looking, thinking and relating.
What does this internship consists in?
Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program (DISCOVER) designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.
You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to DISCOVER the skills most in demand today. It will be combined with an 11 month internship at Airbus in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.
The start of the internship will be in early Oct 2023, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.
Internship Job Description
The intern will join the Advanced Simulation for Rear Fuselage and Empennage (RFE) team. The team is responsible of the advanced structural simulations and contribute to the structural process and methods automation for the RFE of Airbus commercial aircrafts. The new team member will have the opportunity to develop his understanding on Airframe structural design solutions of commercial aircraft and aware himself in an overview of current and future tendencies.
The trainee who join the team will be involved in some of the following tasks:
Development of new advanced methodologies for structural analysis
Virtual Testing simulation capabilities development
Novelty structural justification processes
Structural justification of real airframe designs (composite and metal)
Potentially the definition of new designs or design modifications
The activities will require the development of specific structural analysis competences, from method development, implementation and validation to structural test interpretation. The employee will learn airframe design criteria, advanced structural analysis methodologies and application of advanced simulation to aircraft structure justification.

We are looking someone with motivation to learn and work with a high skilled team, proactive in looking for proposals and solutions, open minded and with interest in developing his structural analysis engineering skills and initiative.
The following skills and qualifications are required:
Academic Background: engineering (aeronautical, industrial, mechanical engineer...)
Curricular internship as a Structural stress engineering would be a plus.
Finite Element Model background
ABAQUS and NASTRAN codes
Hyperworks pre-post processing tools
Programming skills (python, Fortran, C++) minimum background.
Good writing/reading English language skills (C1 level).
