This position is part of our Safety Business Unit, which aims to enable safer, greener and more inclusive industries and transportation systems.

Task description

  • Planning and execution of configuration management within the project landscapes along the complete product lifecycle

  • Identification of configuration elements and ensuring configuration control

  • Identification of requirements, functional and physical properties of configuration elements

  • Creation of configuration baselines

  • Supervision and controlling of the configuration management of internal and external suppliers

  • Regular reporting of the configuration management status (product tree, assembly tree, drawing tree, CIDL, ABCL, Change status, RFD/RFWs…) towards project and customer

  • Preparation and delivery of data packages at project milestones to the customer

  • Contribute to our data transformation plan in order to realize the vision of a fully mastered end-to-end data flow

  • Pioneer change and support the implementation of new digital ways of working, processes, methods and tool chains

  • Build a bridge to the field of data science and its application within our domain

  • Preparation of required documentation and presentation of work results

Required Qualification

The job requires knowledge and skills that are usually acquired through a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of Aerospace Engineering or comparable courses of study and related subject-specific additional qualifications or through a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of more than 4 years with a degree or completed vocational training with a corresponding particularly extensive subject-specific additional qualification. The total required knowledge and experience may have been acquired in other ways.

Desired skills and competences

  • Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility

  • Knowledge and experience in configuration management of large projects

  • Knowledge and experience in the Space domain would be a plus

  • Experience in the PLM Connect tool chain

  • Comfortable in handling data in a more data driven way and not only file based

  • Proactive on all levels, especially w.r.t development and implementation of improvements and new digital processes, methods and tools

  • First contact with and interest in the field of data science (data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.) would be a plus

  • International collaborative spirit. Comfortable working in complex project settings managing a multitude of stakeholders across countries

  • Team player with exceptional communication skills

  • Reliable and thorough, service oriented way of working, always keeping the customer at heart

  • Future oriented growth mindset. Open minded and curious about new ways of working and transforming the status quo into a more data driven approach

  • Language skills: German and English negotiation level (B2), French and Spanish are a plus
