Technology Strategy is a critical, fast-growing component of our overall Strategy and Consulting practice. With your impressive knowledge of the evolving digital landscape, disruptive technologies, and trends in technology strategy, you will work in high performance teams to address priority C-suite issues with precision and speed.

As a Technology Strategy Manager, you will:

  • Serve as trusted advisor to the C-suite defining strategy at the intersection of both technology and business, driving collaboration and teaming with the client.
  • Articulate a compelling technology vision, informed by industry / functional expertise. Shape the role of data and technology including AI, GenAI, agentic AI in business strategies.
  • Design technology operating models that integrate AI capabilities and foster AI-driven ways of working.
  • Identify and prioritise value creation opportunities based on analysis of current technology footprint, for example, articulating where and how agentic AI creates new strategic optionality reshaping workflows, client interactions, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop technology roadmaps that sequence technology investments across planning horizons, connecting strategic ambition to executable milestones and measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop value and business cases for technologies such as AI or cloud, supported by market analysis.
  • Pressure-test assumptions made by leadership teams, including AI-generated insights.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, modelling, and scenario analysis. Validate AI-assisted analysis with logic, experience, and domain knowledge. Apply critical judgement to know when AI outputs are directionally useful vs. when they are unreliable.
  • Lead project / programme or major workstreams, driving overall team and client deliverables while supervising and mentoring team members.
  • Build strong relationships with senior clients that go beyond the workplace, including developing C-suite relationships.
  • Lead the creation of well-articulated thought leadership assets that present innovative insight, knowledge, guidance, and recommendations on a specific market-relevant technology strategy.
  • Identify and advance ideas for new business opportunities.
  • Lead business development and build understanding of how to architect and position proposals and SoWs.
  • Facilitate to drive results and gain consensus for action – being able to address difficult client conversations and engage senior client stakeholders to drive meaningful outcomes.

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in technology driven revenue growth strategy.
  • Experience in Financial Services (Banking / Capital Markets).
  • Ability to identify technology-driven growth opportunities driven by AI, GenAI, agentic AI.
  • Experience in shaping technology strategies that harness AI and GenAI to drive business reinvention, and translating them into board-level business cases that articulate measurable value.
  • Relevant experience with large scale technology transformations, and/or in shaping data and AI strategies, and / or designing operating models that integrate AI capabilities in the context of wider technology-driven growth strategy agenda.
  • Sufficient understanding of data architectures and AI/ML techniques to critically assess and articulate feasibility, scalability and strategic implications of technology choices.
  • Knowledge of, and passion for, key technology advancements, trends and disciplines including GenAI, agentic AI, cloud-native architectures, AI-ready data, responsible AI, sustainable technology, based on previous experience and interest in the latest innovations.
  • Proficient in using multiple AI tools in workflows, research, synthesis, and analysis. Proven exposure to problem solving and solutioning with modern AI toolsets. Ability to evaluate AI outputs critically.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, being able to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner to diverse audiences. Experience in shaping and presenting board-level papers and strategic narratives.
  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of complex issues, the ability to quickly absorb information, conceptual and creative problem-solving excellence. Equally comfortable in the role of business or technology strategist; able to rapidly assess the technology implications of business strategy and the business implications of technology strategy.
  • Good understanding of the key strategic frameworks.
  • Proven success in leading and contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Leadership qualities: the ability to easily establish trust-based relationships and gain valuable insights through collaboration and communication.
  • Drive: enjoys a challenge, proven ability to adapt and remove obstacles to achieve results, determination and optimism.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).

Bonus Points for:

  • Hands-on experience shaping Data & AI strategies for regulated financial institutions, including navigating model risk management frameworks, data governance, responsible AI principles.
  • Strong foundations in Data architecture, Data and AI Strategy and Data Analysis. Understanding of AI and data limitations, bias, and model risk, DWH & Big Data architectures, AI, ML and Advanced Analytics Techniques.
  • Proven ability to drive insights and recommendations using data models and visualization tools, demonstrated advanced research skills.
  • Experience in managing junior members of the team and developing them for more responsibility.
  • Proven ability to manage a variety of projects with increased complexity.
