Job Description

Role- Frontend Engineering Associate Manager

Location: London

Level- Associate Manager

Accenture Song accelerates growth and value for our clients by combining creativity, technology, and data-driven intelligence. Within Song, our Agentic Commerce practice helps organisations design, build, and scale modern digital commerce ecosystems — embedding Generative AI and Agentic AI into commerce to enable real-time personalisation, autonomous merchandising, and intelligent customer engagement at scale.

About the role:

We’re especially looking for individuals who are experts in front-end engineering for mobile or web platforms, with deep experience in modern frameworks and performance optimization. You’ll bring hands-on experience with generative AI technologies and understand how to apply them to enhance product experiences. Consulting experience is also key — you’ll be comfortable engaging with clients, shaping solutions, and driving strategic outcomes.

If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding career in a vibrant environment with access to training and a global network of experts, this could be the role for you. As part of our global team, you'll have the chance to develop a wide range of new skills on the job and work with cutting-edge technologies. So why wait? Join us and take your career to new heights.

As a Frontend Engineering Assoc. Manager, you will:

  • Drive measurable growth and delivery impact across our customer technology product engineering practice
  • Shape and scale client product and platform engineering capabilities (operating model, team topology, and delivery practices)
  • Build trusted senior client relationships and align stakeholders on clear outcomes, scope, and measures of success
  • Lead engineering across large digital and agile transformation programmes, improving predictability, quality, and delivery pace
  • Set the web front-end technical direction, including architecture, engineering standards, and governance
  • Raise the bar for web quality and reliability by championing testing, accessibility, performance (Core Web Vitals) and production observability
  • Identify, prototype and scale Generative AI use cases in products and delivery workflows, ensuring responsible adoption and measurable value
  • Grow and retain high-performing teams through coaching, feedback, hiring support, and clear progression pathways
  • Create and evolve reusable assets (e.g., Next.js accelerators, design system patterns, and delivery playbooks) and represent the practice internally and externally
  • Partner with Product, Design, Data and Engineering to deliver user-centred web products from discovery through to production

Job Qualifications

We are looking for experience in the following:

  • Experience in front end engineering
  • Experience building with modern web frontend technologies and frameworks (React/Next.js). Mobile experience is a plus (iOS/Android/React Native)
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and experience with modern React patterns (hooks, context, state management)
  • Experience with frontend testing strategies and tools (unit, integration and end-to-end), e.g., Jest/Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress
  • Accessibility-first delivery (WCAG), including semantic HTML and assistive technology testing
  • Web performance optimisation and profiling, including Core Web Vitals, bundle analysis and code-splitting
  • Deep experience building web applications with Next.js, including SSR/SSG/ISR patterns, routing and data-fetching
  • Strong UI engineering fundamentals: responsive design, modern CSS, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience contributing to and evolving design systems/component libraries (governance, documentation, and adoption)
  • Frontend build tooling and developer experience (e.g., Vite/Webpack, monorepos, linting/formatting, dependency management)
  • Production observability and debugging (frontend monitoring, error tracking, and analytics instrumentation)
  • Frontend security fundamentals (e.g., XSS/CSRF, secure authentication flows, and secure handling of client-side data)
  • Use of Generative AI within your workflows and/or products you are creating
  • Created proven scalable solutions, especially with AI
  • Eperience with integrating cloud services directly into complex solutions (GraphQL/Restful APIs)
  • Experience in agile environments for digital product creation
