We are looking for an experienced and capable Account Director with an Events background. You’ll be passionate about driving your team, your account, and the Live Experiences work we produce for our clients.

As Account Director in TMW Live, you will:

  • Lead client relationships and oversee the planning and delivery of live experiences across B2B and B2C activity.
  • Work across a number of client accounts, overseeing a wide variety of events including conferences, employee engagement activity and consumer roadshows, aligning each event with the client’s broader marketing objectives, ensuring we can provide measurable outcomes at every touchpoint.
  • Lead strategic oversight and coordinate with planning, creative and content teams, while guiding your team and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Establish clear frameworks, schedules and governance to keep events on time, on budget and to a high standard.
  • Work closely with the Group Account Director, to support on client growth and pitches, helping fuel the teams growth.

What you’ll do…

  • Oversee the planning, development, and growth of your accounts.
  • Own and nurture key client relationships, serving as the first point of contact for primary clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to provide best-in-class events.
  • Apply creative and strategic thinking to apply integrated marketing principles to your events.
  • Foster a results-oriented culture and deliver well-executed, inspiring client work.
  • Identify opportunities for growth of the department - selling in ideas and innovative solutions.
  • Take overall responsibility for the financial management of your projects including revenue forecasting and cost control.
  • Demonstrate strong visible leadership skills, building excellent relationships across the agency.
  • Listen to and influence clients and internal stakeholders effectively, preventing and managing conflict.
  • Line manage and nurture team members, acting as a role model.
  • Lead with emotional intelligence, intuition and empathy.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Significant agency experience in client-facing event planning, marketing events or experiential marketing.
  • Experience managing budgets and supplier contracts.
  • Ability to manage account forecasts and finances, with an understanding of income, profit, scope, contracts and their commercial implications.
  • Ability to manage multiple events/projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to inspire confidence and bring the team together.
  • Business understanding and the ability to develop event strategies and ideas that reflect client objectives.
  • Excellent event management skills, including supplier management, logistics and operations and health & safety.
  • A ‘one team’ approach that enables client and agency partners to work together seamlessly.
  • Confidence and clarity in managing senior clients and wider inter-agency teams, acting as an expert voice and steering broader strategic discussions with the support of your senior team lead.
  • Drive and enthusiasm, with a desire to learn and develop in the role.

Flexibility and mobility are required to deliver this role as there will be requirements to spend time onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery of the outstanding services we are known for.
