Salary: Competitive salary and package dependent on experience

Career Level: Manager

Please Note: Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance which requires 5 years continuous UK address history (typically including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK) at the point of application.

Role Purpose

To lead the functional design, configuration, and technical delivery of IBM Maximo / Maximo Application Suite (MAS) implementations, leveraging automation, advanced analytics, AI-powered capabilities, and reusable delivery accelerators to ensure business requirements are translated into scalable, secure, and fit-for-purpose solutions aligned to enterprise processes, data, and architecture standards.

Acting as the primary bridge between Solution Architecture and technical delivery, the role combines deep Maximo functional expertise with strong technical and data awareness to ensure solutions deliver measurable business outcomes while remaining technically robust, maintainable, and future-ready. The role champions an AI-first approach both in the Asset Management solutions we deliver and in how we deliver them, driving the creation and adoption of AI-powered delivery accelerators, reusable implementation assets, intelligent agents, and automation frameworks that reduce technical debt, improve quality, and accelerate deployment.

The individual will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, data specialists, AI engineers, and delivery teams to define and implement next-generation asset management solutions that enhance decision-making, improve workforce productivity, and unlock the value of enterprise asset and operational data. In parallel, they will define and industrialise AI-enabled delivery practices, creating scalable implementation IP, knowledge assets, and accelerators that can be reused across client engagements to improve consistency, productivity, and delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Maximo Functional Design and Configuration

  • Translate solution architecture and requirements into detailed functional designs
  • Lead fit-gap analysis and configure Maximo modules aligned to best practice
  • Define asset structures, workflows, job plans, and maintenance strategies
  • Leverage AI-assisted analysis and design techniques to accelerate requirements definition, fit-gap assessments, configuration design, and solution documentation.

Delivery Execution, Stakeholder Interface, Quality & Governance

  • Own functional delivery across design, build, test, and deployment, leveraging and continuously enhancing AI-powered delivery accelerators, automation, and reusable implementation assets to improve quality, speed, consistency, and scalability.
  • Define, create, and maintain reusable AI-enabled delivery assets, agents, prompt libraries, accelerators, and implementation IP for use across client engagements.
  • Lead and coordinate functional consultants and configuration teams.
  • Support automated testing (SIT/UAT), defect resolution, and solution validation.
  • Facilitate workshops to validate requirements and designs, using AI-powered insights where appropriate.
  • Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Support adoption through clear articulation of system, process, and AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Ensure adherence to design standards, governance, and documentation
  • Maintain requirements traceability and configuration integrity

Deliver AI and Advanced Analytics Solutions

  • Capture, codify, and continuously improve delivery knowledge, patterns, and lessons learned into reusable AI-enabled assets and implementation methodologies.
  • Apply machine learning, predictive analytics, generative AI, and digital twin technologies to asset management challenges.
  • Develop use cases for failure prediction, risk forecasting, maintenance optimisation, inventory optimisation, and asset investment planning.
  • Define AI governance, model management, and responsible AI approaches for critical infrastructure environments.

Technical & Integration Alignment

  • Work with Technical and Solution Architects to ensure design feasibility
  • Define and support integrations with ERP, PLM, and enterprise systems
  • Contribute to data migration, mapping, and alignment to target data models
  • Support delivery of solutions that meet non-functional requirements

Process and Data Implementation

  • Identify opportunities to automate implementation activities through AI, workflow automation, and reusable delivery frameworks.
  • Define data structures and ensure alignment to enterprise data models
  • Ensure consistent configuration across workstreams
