Head of Email Marketing

About the role:
This is a brand new role and offers a huge opportunity to the successful candidate to take our Email marketing plans to the next level! We're looking for a highly experienced self-starter to build out, transform and own the entire marketing function at Flipdish, one of the most recent tech unicorns.
The successful candidate will structure, manage and optimize all email marketing and customer communications efforts at Flipdish. This is a senior hands-on opportunity to transform existing processes and put new ones in place. Starting with an overall audit of the existing email marketing and customer communications infrastructure, set up and strategy for all relevant phases. The role will work cross functionally with various teams within Flipdish, such as sales, customer success, product and content marketing.
Candidate profile:
- Experience: Proven track record of successfully having put in place/overseeing email marketing structure and strategy before. Can effectively build and scale these efforts.
- Strategic: has a blueprint in mind for setup, structure and effective strategy. Has a clear understanding how to effectively build, manage and optimize email flows for lead nurturing, new customer onboarding, product marketing, customer updates, retention and winback.
- Analytical: knows the relevant data points to consider and how to translate this into email comms strategies. Comfortable using Google Analytics, CRM tools, web traffic and email performance analysis tools. Owns performance reporting around email and provides updates to senior management.
- Technical: is confident to set up email automation processes (e.g. via Hubspot workflows) and building email creative templates. Has experience connecting data sources (such as CRM and/or analytics tools) to an email marketing automation platform.
- Collaborative: Work across the marketing, product and customer success teams to align email initiatives with the broader business strategy.
Required skills:
- Technical expertise with Email automation platforms (ideally Hubspot), and a genuine interest/curiosity in the tech landscape
- Experienced in delivering high return on value email marketing campaigns, understanding how to A/B test and drive continuous improvement
- CRM experience (in particular Salesforce)
- Data analysis (Google Analytics, Hubspot and other datasources), comfortable processing, cleaning and analyzing bulk data via Excel or Google sheets)
- Skilled in coding HTML to structure email creatives
Desired skills:
- Creative skills (email copy development, content topics, etc.) are a strong plus
