At Flipdish, our mission is to provide hospitality businesses with the world’s best digital ordering solutions (white label websites, mobile applications, QR Order and Pay solutions and/or kiosks).
At our core, we’re more than just technology providers, we are real partners and on the side of the small independents. We succeed when our restaurant partners succeed, and so we do everything in our power to ensure that they maximise the Flipdish platform. Be it helping them read their weekly reports, extending our platform to make their back-end processes more seamless, providing them with marketing solutions to help grow their customer base or by helping them think through menu changes or delivery options.
Started in 2015 by technology entrepreneurs James and Conor McCarthy, Flipdish is headquartered in Dublin with a team of 2500+ digital food retailing enthusiasts, 7000+ active clients across 25 countries with teams in Ireland, UK, Spain, France, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Canada and the US.

🤸♂️ We are a remote-first, flexible company that manages to blend flexibility and high-growth in a pretty impressive way. We treat our employees like responsible adults, providing they are ambitious and accountable, we don’t mind how or where they get their work done.
🖥 Most team meetings take place between the hours of 10am and 4pm. A number of teams have no meeting Wednesdays, and many individuals start late and finish early to accommodate their childcare needs.
🌎 We have staff across 16 countries, most of whom prefer to work remotely. We have dog friendly offices in London, Dublin, NYC and Paris where you’ll sometimes find our teammates that prefer free snacks and coffee room banter.
🎭 We have a fun vibrant culture that is enhanced by our in person meetups. These happen once a month per team and once a year as a full company. In 2022, we have organised Go-Karting, Escape Rooms, Comedy Nights and Cocktail Making, and we are eagerly anticipating getting all 300 of us together in Dublin in mid-May.
🚘 We work in the hospitality sector, which means that some of our commercial sales o customer success positions are a little less flexible by nature. Being close to our restaurant partners can be critical for building lasting relationships. Any location specific needs are clearly specified in the relevant job specifications.
🌴 Do you love the summer as much as us? Well, for 4 Friday's across July and August in 2022, Flipdish close our doors, allowing our teams to enjoy some much need summer rays (hopefully!) St. Patricks Day and Good Friday is also a company wide holiday irrelevant of where you are based in the world!
Approach to diversity & inclusion
There is no sector that is more diverse than the hospitality sector, which is part of the reason that diversity and inclusion needs to be in our DNA. In some areas we do this incredibly well, for example, our client operations team has a mix of 27 men and women living in 6 countries and speaking 12 languages. That being said, in other areas, we are still falling short – our analytics team, for example, has significantly more men than women. Importantly, we care about diversity and inclusion and we are constantly aspiring to do more.

Hi! I am Jess, and I am Flipdish’s COO. I joined Flipdish because I was excited by the ambitious vision, energised by the impressive people and passionate about helping independent SMBs in the hospitality sector flipping thrive. I was also impressed to find a CEO who was long-term thinking enough to hire a COO who was seven months pregnant. Flipdish is a fast-paced scale up, where everyone is empowered to do their best work. I love the content, I love the problem-solving, I love the varied nature of my day-to-day, and the fact that we are fully remote is a huge bonus. I work hard but it’s on my own terms. I drop my kids at school every day and I put them to bed every evening. As long as I hit my targets and get all of my work done, no-one even notices the fact that I’m offline for a few key hours every afternoon.
