Job Description
Management Accountant
CTS Group is looking to hire a driven Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Manchester. This is a newly created role which will enable the successful candidate to be a key part of a busy and growing finance function. CTS and CloudM have experienced significant growth in recent years and this is set to continue.
This role will report to the Financial Controller but will also interact with senior leadership throughout the business:
What you’ll do:
- Plan, organise and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the company’s monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts
- Posting journals including prepayments, accruals and deferred income
- Analysing data using spreadsheet techniques to maintain invoicing and monthly revenue processes
- Close review and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts ensuring balances are maintained and reconciled monthly
- VAT return preparation
- Perform variance analysis on a monthly basis and review of actual to budget results
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Maintain the fixed asset registers
- Provide support to the payables and receivables processes as required
- You’ll get involved in our drive towards social progress where possible. Whether that’s getting involved in one of our community projects or simply buying local when travelling with the company.
Key Skills:
- Ideally ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified (or working towards the final stages of qualification)
- Good understanding of accounting processes and procedures
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and high-level numerical skills and ability to interpret data quickly
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to identify actions designed to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- All round team player
Desirable Skills:
- Sage Line 50 experience (desirable but not required)
- Salesforce experience (desirable but not required)

We have offices based in Manchester, Edinburgh, London and Utrecht in the Netherlands, however we are more than happy to consider remote working for this position.
