Job Description
Our Commercial team is scaling and so our Commercial Operations team must scale too. We are the guardians of the team organisational and operational structure, setting up the client-facing teams for success and enabling them to reach their revenue targets.
This is a rare opportunity to help one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs to shape its commercial team and strategy, build a world-class sales process and client experience, and improve its data to drive internal decision-making and external customer engagement. It is also a highly visible role that will interface with a number of key internal stakeholder groups including Finance, Legal as well as Product.
The key areas of focus for this role are:
Tech stack: Monitoring and automating our E2E customer process as well as improve CRM hygiene
Operations: Provide training and facilitate onboarding for new joiners, write playbooks and guidelines, career and performance management
Process optimisation: Ongoing review of our best practices/processes and planning of large-scale or incremental enhancements
Performance and Strategy: Designing and implementing accurate, timely, and insightful reports against our target and strategic initiatives and deriving key insights for decision-making
As our Commercial Operations Manager you will be building our structure and organisation in Europe, effectively acting as the COO for European Commercial cross-functional teams TrueLayer, working in close collaboration with the Country Managers and Head of Growth ensuring teams meet their revenue targets by:
- Leading and driving the effective use of our technology, most importantly our CRM (HubSpot) - developing dashboards, data models, and forecasting, implementing automation, and workflows where needed
- Creating, executing, and embedding a commercial strategy for the various countries, in close collaboration with the leaders and aligning to our global commercial strategy
- Working closely with teams focused on Commercial priorities (Marketing, Sales, Integration, CSM, Client Ops) to report on and monitor key metrics, identifying trends, and proposing data-driven recommendations to inform our commercial strategy and product development
- Recommending and integrating new tooling to meet business needs, problem-solve, and/or further improve the quality, analysis, and/or visualisation of data
- Supporting the team in refining the customer onboarding journey utilising best practices and methodologies, and ultimately embedding a culture of ongoing process improvement
- Building functional and collaborative relationships with internal teams across TrueLayer to support analytical and operational challenges - including membership in the Operations Guild
- Supporting on ad-hoc projects, such as performing internal and external research to inform GTM strategies
Requirements
What we expect from you:
- At least 5 years of experience in a Sales/Revenue or other operations role, project management, or work as a business analyst, consultant or similar role
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel
- Established analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify and summarise themes across complex data sets
- Highly collaborative with exceptional people skills to manage many and varied stakeholders - able to work effectively with diverse audiences, management levels, cultures, and personalities
- Ability to be productive with minimal supervision. Must be reliable, results-oriented, proactive and able to move forward and execute at speed
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage conflicting priorities effectively
Nice to have:
- Experience in a FinTech and/or fast-growing payments company
- Experience with HubSpot, QuickSight, InsightSquared or any similar CRM or sales enablement tools
