We’re opening up finance and changing the way the world pays.

About us

At TrueLayer, we've built a global open banking platform that's changing the way the world pays and so much more. We make payments and refunds instant, account data accessible and onboarding effortless — all so innovators in every industry can create simpler, safer, more seamless experiences for their customers.

To date, we've raised $270 million from investors including Stripe, Tiger Global, Addition and Tencent. We've got offices in London, Milan, Dublin and Sydney. And millions of consumers use TrueLayer to pay online, whether they're investing through Freetrade, banking with Revolut, or buying a car from Cazoo.

Our vision is a financial system that works better for everyone: for businesses, banks and everybody. Which means we've still got a lot to do — and is why we need you. So if working at the forefront of financial technology and transforming how people transact speaks to you, speak to us.

Flexible working approach

At TrueLayer we have embraced hybrid work and are fully committed to being a flexible place to work.

As a hybrid - remote friendly company, everyone is allowed to work remotely for 80% of the time and is required to come to the office for 20% of the time, each quarter.

Collaborating in-person and meeting face to face is a key part of TrueLayer’s DNA and for this reason, our main hub offices, will remain becoming culture spaces and destinations of purpose: places that can serve as a social anchor to facilitate connections, enable learning, and foster collaboration. You can learn more about our culture here.

Approach to diversity & inclusion

At TrueLayer, we don’t just do inclusion and diversity. We embrace people that have different opinions, perspectives and personalities. Because we believe that by seeing the world from all sorts of angles, we can make life better for all the people who live in it. So we want you to know that the things that make you, you — like your age, ability, background and identity — are things that we celebrate and support.

We specifically have a Diversity and Inclusion Employee Resource Group to help foster an inclusive and diverse culture. We accomplish this through: education and awareness, by providing a safe and supportive environment, advocating for key issues and influencing the wider tech community.

We've also implemented a number of initiatives to ensure our hiring is more inclusive, including:

  • Tracking the diversity of our applicant pool and different diversity groups via a voluntary demographic survey which is sent to all applicants, helping us highlight any potential blockers / bias in our interview process to certain demographics.
  • Using a tool to ensure we use inclusive language in our job descriptions, limiting any unconscious bias.
  • A focus on diversity outreach to ensure we keep a diverse sourcing pool.
  • Partnering with companies like SheCanCode sponsoring events and promoting job opportunities to other demographics.

What do we think of TrueLayer?

The larger a company gets, the trend would say they become less flexible. However, TrueLayer is breaking this norm! They have exceptional scores in both their employer and employee benchmarking tests for a company of over 300 employees. This is what a leading "trend-setter" looks like, showing other large, fast growing, scale-up organisations that flexibility is an overwhelming positive experience for the company itself, not just the employees.

Meet who might be hiring you

TrueLayer is a fantastic place to work with a strong company culture based on trust. We embrace ambiguity, encourage independence and apply accountability. We have serious fun making, breaking, inventing, and experimenting. And most importantly, we value people - everyone can be their true self, and feel empowered to do their best work.
