Job Description

Our mission is to be the most inspiring learning platform for people and organisations around the world.

We are a team of 40+ and over the last four years, we’ve built a SaaS-enabled marketplace curated from 200+ of the best learning providers. So far, we’ve supported thousands of employees from fast-growing tech scale-ups and progressive businesses like GoCardless, IDEO, Curve, Treatwell, and Freetrade to power their learning culture.

We are just at the start of our journey. We have ambitious goals but we recognise that in order to achieve our mission we need to look inwards and first make Learnerbly the most inspiring company to work for as we scale and grow to Series A and beyond.

Don't worry, you're not starting from zero. We've spent a lot of time iterating on our values and rituals to create an empowering, learning culture that is distinct to us.

In this role, your aims are to:

1. Create an inspiring environment for Learnerbly employees that aligns with our values to do their best work

2. Scale the processes and systems that are the manifestation of the culture that we want to build

3. Enable the company to scale and grow sustainably to Series A and beyond and positively impact more people

4. Grow our global fulfillment and servicing capabilities in line with our growth projections

And you will:

  • Collaborate with others in the Leadership team in setting and driving the organisation vision, operational strategy, hiring needs, and business & financial reporting
  • Be resource planning with department heads that enables our ambitious growth goals
  • Prepare company-level key performance indicators and coordinate Board and Investor updates
  • Work with our new Head of People to ensure we deliver delightful experiences for Learnerbly employees and build an employee value proposition that will attract and retain the best talent
  • Design and iterate on rituals and systems with our people that embodies our values and creates a culture that enables individuals to thrive
  • Implement an operating cadence for strategic planning (through an OKR process or similar) and performance management to optimise our effectiveness and achieve our company objectives
  • Work with peers to prepare the company for market expansion, new customer segment opportunities, and product development
  • Adhere the company to local market or customer requirements (e.g. licenses, ISO certification, GDPR), ensuring we are always compliant and taking action when necessary
  • Lead on legal and contractual matters, ensuring our customer and vendor contacts are consistent and adhered to.
  • Work with our Head of Finance to monitor cash flow and operational expenditure and control company budget and costs where necessary
  • Work with Product to improve our timeliness and capacity to fulfil orders and minimise inbound Intercom messages from learners
  • Organise the Fulfilment team and implement processes to maximise their productivity whilst maintaining team morale and service levels
  • Collaborate with our Head of Customer Success to ensure our clients are happy and high levels of customer satisfaction at all times
  • Play a critical role in running Leadership Team meetings, championing our values and company culture
  • Build and lead the following teams: Fulfilment & Servicing, People, Finance and Legal

This role will be a great fit if:

  • You have 10+ years commercial experience; 4+ years of these have been working in a senior operating role, preferably at a high-growth venture-backed technology company with a track record of top performance
  • You have hands-on experience in scaling up a company post-Series A, overseeing a global/remote workforce
  • You treat a company like a product where employees are the users. Like a product manager, you obsess over improving the components that make the company's culture and productivity come to life
  • You can think big picture and long term but can still get your hands dirty and do whatever it takes to make your company successful
  • You use data to inform your decisions and have strong critical thinking skills
  • You are diligent when dealing with contracts and have an eye for detail
  • Where there are differing views, you believe in open, challenging discussions to get to the best outcomes, and believe in teams being able to "disagree and commit"
  • You are humble, honest and not afraid to own up to your mistakes and failures
  • You enjoy working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and have the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • You love learning and believe you can learn to solve any challenge that comes your way
  • You live and breathe our company values (see below)

  • Practice heartfelt, radical candor: We know seeking radically candid feedback can be hugely powerful. We proactively seek and give feedback to reveal blindspots and accelerate growth.

At Learnerbly, we are looking for honest people who fit our values and are passionate about our mission statement. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description.
