Job Description
“Genius is the ability to put into effect what’s on your mind” - F. Scott Fitzgerald
Whether this one makes your list of literary heroes, or not, you can’t deny the power of great communication. A highly relevant gift in the age of information overload, as we process not only our own perspectives, but the hive mind and its many different voices.
If you’re an experienced Head of Brand and Communication, this is a challenge you live and breathe every day, and you love it. And here at Paddle, we’re looking for someone like you to join our senior leadership team.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll work with our marketing and executive teams to drive a corporate narrative that’s truly “different” and “ours”. Launching programs to elevate our brand, increase our audience, and drive our product awareness globally.
This is a new role, where you’ll establish foundational programs and practices, both locally and globally. You’ll oversee our communications strategy, public relations, analyst relations, influencer program, social media, brand management, creative/design execution, events, and other corporate marketing programs.
Paddle is currently scaling to meet our growth across the US and Europe. You’ll play a critical role here, establishing our brand and revenue delivery category globally. That means your work will have a big impact - as you help to shape, launch and scale this function and its output. Our demand is constantly growing, and with recent Series C funding, we’ve had investments worth $93 million (£72 million) which we’re putting back into our marketing, brand and communications.
To step into this critical role, you’ll need significant communications and brand strategy experience in B2B technology. Ideally, you’ll have gained some of that with a fast-paced SaaS company. You’ll need to demonstrate successful development of breakthrough thought leadership and communications programs, with experience increasing brand visibility and reputation.
You’ll have strong people and leadership skills, to inspire and develop team members, while also managing performance. You’ll be an expert at using social and digital platforms for communications goals - and have excellent written, verbal & public speaking skills, plus an analytical mindset to measure the effectiveness of internal and external communications.
In return, you’ll get a competitive salary and stock options. Plus, a pension, flexible working hours (truly - we’re accredited by Flexa), private health insurance, unlimited paid holiday, mental health coaching sessions, a remote working stipend, a learning budget for courses and certifications, a cycle to work scheme, a season ticket loan, and generous family friendly policies. These benefits are ever evolving to encourage you to achieve a good balance, stay healthy, grow in your role, look after your family, and invest in your future.
Our respectful, inclusive, and transparent culture means you’re encouraged to speak your truth, and those words have impact. This is important at every level, but for you, it means you’re always empowered to do your best work, which is exactly what we need.
So, do you have the spark of genius to take our business even higher? Apply now.
