Job Description

As part of our Video & New MediaTeam we opened a new position for a Team Lead Video Producer who will take the lead of all the video and new media production operations in the team, including our long-format video productions, podcasts as well as for all our Social Media Video productions.

Planning shootings, budgets, resources and establishing the right processes for the follow-up of all video productions will be at the core of your responsibilities in collaboration with our Production Coordinator.

The Video production team is a key and impactful team part of the Media department at Welcome to the Jungle. We currently produce about ten new videos for social media monthly with a length of 4-6 minutes long that are regularly posted on Linkedin, Facebook and Instagram. These productions are also adapted into shorter “snack” content to be released on Instagram and Tik Tok, releasing about forty new snack video content monthly.
All together generate around 10 Million cross-platform video views monthly impacting new Welcome to the Jungle audiences.

Additionally two longer video formats are produced monthly for Youtube with a length of 10-15 min. Also new video and audio productions for other distribution channels are planned, potentially including video series, documentaries and audio formats.

The Team Lead Video Production will take in charge the management of 6 people of the team, including three Filmmakers, two Video Editors and a Producer Coordinator.

She/he will report to Guillermo, Head of Video Strategy and Social Media

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the production plans, schedules and organization for the multimedia productions.

  • Legal and financial control over all video productions.

  • Master and optimize all processes related to video & audio productions in France and abroad

  • Establish the right processes and follow-up methodologies for the video production team.

  • Manager of a team of six: filmmakers, video editors and production profiles.

  • Budget planning, development and control with the production coordinator.

  • Helping the organization and growth of our video production in the US: recruitment and management of journalists and video freelancers, budget management, delivery.

Preferred experience

Main Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Audiovisual production and Management (managing senior professionals for video production: filmmakers, editors and producers)

  • Previous experience in an online Media as production manager.

  • Perfect knowledge of end to end video production processes, needs and organization.

  • Perfect understanding of all the roles and missions of the professionals involved in a video production process: filmmakers, sound engineers, video editors, motion graphers.

  • Master of budget needs and follow-up for Video and Audio productions.

  • Master of all legal aspects related to video and audio production in an international online media.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the editorial process for video productions.

  • Familiar with Video and Social Media Strategies.

  • Process-oriented mind, and problem solving skills with an understanding of creative aspects of multimedia editorial productions.

  • English-French bilingual
