Who we are
At Wayve, we are developing AV2.0, a very powerful and versatile software stack that can learn and adapt efficiently to various driving environments, therefore allowing us to be the first AV company to deploy in 100 cities scattered around the globe.
This is not a small feat but thanks to our end-to-end deep learning approach, we are confident we can achieve it. With great challenges come great responsibilities, the safety assurance of our automated driving system (ADS) is the most important and most complex one.

Where you will have an impact
- You will be supporting the safety team in developing safety concepts related to software architecture, vehicle control and machine learning.
- Work with other team members in designing and implementing Minimum Risk Manoeuvres (MRMs).
- Work with other team members in defining a safe autonomous driving software architecture.
What you will bring to Wayve
Essential:
- >5 years of experience in the automotive software industry
- Experience building real-time systems for robotics or autonomy
- Experience working with high performing software in C++, Rust, or similar on Linux platforms
- Good understanding of computer science fundamentals: operating systems, data structures, algorithm design, etc.
- Strong modern C++
- PhD or MSc in robotics, computer science, engineering or related field
Desirable:
- Experience in building software for control systems
- Experience in Machine learning software
