What you’ll do

The role of the Portfolio manager is understanding the core value propositions of scaleup technologies, identifying the most applicable opportunities in Vodafone and other industry partners, engaging stakeholders to secure projects, and driving those projects to impactful outcomes for our business.. The role is critical to expanding the innovation pipeline, accelerating commercial adoption of scaleup solutions, and strengthening Tomorrow Street’s position within Vodafone and the broader ecosystem.
The Portfolio manager acts as a connector between technology partners and Vodafone markets/functions, ensuring opportunities are translated into tangible commercial outcomes

The successful candidate must build strong internal and external relationships and demonstrate a strong ability to sell the unique concept of the Tomorrow Street accelerator to a broad range of stakeholders – in Vodafone, Luxembourg, and the wider Tomorrow Street ecosystem; including VC’s, other incubators and other companies. The candidate must also have a deep interest and intellectual curiosity in future trends, startup ecosystems, and digital technologies. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual, who understands the Vodafone organization across different functions and with the ability to flex between a complex corporate environment and the fluid and exceptionally fast-moving startup world. Understanding the planning and budgeting cycle is key to ensuring our innovation focus is proactively addressing Vodafone’s upcoming needs and demand.

1. Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Growth
• Source high potential scaleups and strategic partners aligned with Vodafone’s priority domains.
• Maintain and grow a high-quality opportunity pipeline end-to-end
2. Commercial Development & Deal Structuring
• Evaluate business cases, support commercial modeling, and prepare proposals in collaboration with the scaleups
• Support contract negotiations with clear articulation of commercial and customer requirements
3. Stakeholder & Partner Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships across Vodafone markets, functions, and senior stakeholders.
• Orchestrate cross-functional engagement (Technology, Networks, Procurement, Legal, Finance) to unblock progress and ensure alignment.
• Manage ongoing partner relationships to ensure operational excellence and successful in life delivery.
• Understand the planning and budget cycles across functions to align to innovation strategies.
4. Ecosystem & Market Engagement
• Represent Tomorrow Street in the Luxembourg and international innovation ecosystems.
• Identify emerging trends and translate them into actionable opportunity spaces for Vodafone.
5. Governance, Reporting & Delivery
• Track progress of opportunities, ensuring clear execution plans, risks, and timelines.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership, including Advisory Committee materials and finance trackers
• Support the finance team to maintain excellent operational KPIs

Who you are

• Degree level qualification
• 5+ years work experience in the industry and proficient in sales and business development
• Knowledge of ICT sector and future trends (knowledge of Vodafone landscape and global startup ecosystems an advantage)
• Have experience analysing and supporting the growth of smaller, innovative companies
• Experience of working in an Agile manner and self-organising. Ability to collaborate across functions and experience in lead generation, sales quotas, sales training, business and sales operations.
• Deep understanding of how a large corporate works
• Extremely resilient
• Strong relationship and networking skills and ability to build, influence. and leverage a diverse range of internal and external relationships at all levels
