Role Purpose/Business Unit:

Provide Analytical design and solutions to Vodacom’s Engineering E2E Team
Execute on data driven insights developed and maintained to drive solutions within regional SPOC’s and team collaboration
Ensure data construct and quality maintained and improved
Track progress of solutions and measure impacts and new strategies to maintain Vodacom Do or Die Goals

Your responsibilities will include:

Maintain and Develop Analytical Codebase for existing toolsets within E2E Network quality
Develop principles in automation and Machine learning for Network and business insights under the engineering influence
Liaise with Regional and other Network Engineering teams for improvement and localisation of network solutions with respect to analytics and automation
Develop techniques and statistical methods using automated programming principles to fast track analytics and business guidance to Network Problem solving, Capacity Analysis, Product launch Network impact assessment and Future Technology rollout considerations
Maintain database accuracy and relevance of various data sources and interact with other roll players to ensure conformance to business and security principles
Use Geospatial techniques to enhance network evaluation and Customer impact
Develop synergies in automation of analytics within the Engineering community that streamlines the Operational teams workload and increases efficiency
Train Regional staff in the use of the Automated tooling systems and Analytics
Source new datasets for ingestion into the Analytical framework and toolsets to enhance Quality and Capacity monitoring and forecasting and improve time to resolution
Generate automated methods in Capacity planning and Coverage Analytics for New Product evaluation and design
Interact with Sales and Commercial business units to formulate Network design and Capacity Analysis that works to consumer needs

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

BSc degree in Engineering/IT or Equivalent
Programming training in C# desirable
Preferred experience in Python and JavaScript programming an advantage
1 years’ experience with SQL or database development
Preferred 3 years’ experience in Telecommunications
Preferred experience in Python programming
2 Years’ experience Data Analytics
