About this Role

Role purpose

Accountable for owning the implementation of the cloud platform strategy in support of both transformational and operational capabilities to meet business needs. Works closely with support teams and architecture to effectively execute impact assessments for any changes and serve as an escalation point of contact for any significant incidents or root cause analysis investigations. Works closely with project leads, CoE, release management to resolve any issues and proactively looks to identify and mitigate risks.

The Analytics Platofrm Lead will be responsible for providing leadership needed to ensure seamless operations and support from TSSC and 3rd party suppliers to Local Markets and Business Stakeholders. They will own roadmap planning for all major capabilities of cloud analytics platform that will serve BI capabilities across Vodafone – accountable for managing relationship across all internal and external parties and representing to senior levels in the business functions and local markets.

What you’ll do

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • High level and low level design of the GCP platform services to meet roadmap of project needs and operational improvements
  • Ensure platform is operationally robust on a day to day bases – meeting day to day operational needs and project demands
  • Drive cost efficiency through efficient architecture and configuration
  • Ensure security policies are implemented

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Proven track record in managing platforms and developing roadmaps within a complex environment
  • Strong marketing, stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management up to CIO and CFO level for Local Markets and Shared Service Centres and (by exception) to ExCo in escalations.
  • Ability to work under high pressure.
  • Ability to deliver through others in a matrix organisation and experience in cross-cultural working environments

Who you are

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Goolgle cloud certification
  • Expertise in building (Google) Cloud Platforms, related service domain and in building the overall tenant process
  • Expertise in cloud technical architectures and deployment models (serveless vs server managed)
  • Expertise in setup and configure basis for GCP services, tools and product
  • Infrastructure as Code, Scripting / Automation, Tooling pipelines: Terraform, GoCD, GitHub, Nexus, etc..
  • Security and Network Design
