Job Description

Join us

At Vodafone, we’re not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers — we’re shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, you’re part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world.

If you want to grow your career whilst finding the right balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunity to help you belong and make a real impact.

What you'll do

With us, you can help safeguard trust, integrity and compliance across Vodafone Ireland

You'll lead Vodafone's Law Enforcement Liaison and Investigations functions, playing a key role in ensuring we meet our legal obligations for data retention, disclosure and governance while protecting the integrity of sensitive information. Acting as the primary point of contact for law enforcement agencies and internal stakeholders, you'll help maintain Vodafone's reputation for legal and ethical compliance.

You'll build and manage relationships with law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, internal teams and external partners, coordinating governance activities and leading the LEA Governance Committee to ensure senior leaders and legal counsel remain informed of relevant matters. You'll stay close to legislative and industry developments, helping the business remain aligned with Irish and EU requirements and best practice, while overseeing a 24/7 on-call service for urgent law enforcement requests. As required, you'll also provide statements and represent Vodafone in court proceedings.

A significant part of the role involves leading complex investigations relating to fraud, criminal activity or other allegations involving employees, contractors or external parties. You'll use your investigative and forensic expertise to secure and preserve evidence, advise senior management on investigation strategies, assess new allegations and recommend appropriate courses of action. You'll ensure whistleblowing reports and internal allegations are investigated thoroughly, documented appropriately and tracked through to resolution.

You'll establish and continuously improve investigation standards, policies and best practices across the business, preparing detailed reports, KPI analysis and management information to support decision-making and regulatory reporting. You'll also oversee assurance activities and data integrity checks across law enforcement requests and investigations, helping identify compliance risks and escalating matters where appropriate. Working closely with colleagues across Technology, Legal, HR and other functions, you'll ensure robust processes and controls are in place while leading and developing a team that values integrity, discretion, collaboration and continuous improvement. You'll also represent Vodafone externally with regulators, industry bodies and other relevant stakeholders when required.

Who we are looking for

  • Proven experience in law enforcement liaison, investigations, telecommunications security, compliance or a related regulatory environment.
  • At least 3 years' experience within the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish and EU legislation relating to data protection, law enforcement and telecommunications.
  • Experience leading complex investigations and managing sensitive or high-risk matters with sound judgement and discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk, interpret information and make recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work effectively with senior leaders, regulators, law enforcement agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • High standards of integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, assurance frameworks and governance controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and investigation or incident management tools.
  • Experience integrating GenAI solutions within appropriate legal and compliance parameters.
  • A collaborative leadership style with experience coaching, developing and supporting teams to deliver strong outcomes together.
