About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to deliver high-quality testing services within the IT Shared Service Centre (VSS India) in a complex telecommunications environment. This role focuses on planning, executing, and validating Output Management (OM) features, ensuring platforms, services, and components meet agreed milestones, cost, quality, and service levels. The role requires strong collaboration with global stakeholders, hands-on functional testing expertise, and German language capability for document content validation.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver testing services across platforms, services, and components in line with agreed milestones, quality standards, and service levels
  • Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned to project scope and timelines
  • Execute functional, regression, and system integration tests to agreed standards
  • Validate Output Management (OM) features, including document content checks with German language verification
  • Manage defects through the full lifecycle using agreed defect management processes and tools
  • Review and approve newly developed automations prior to production deployment, ensuring compliance with agreed standards
  • Maintain the production environment using established incident, change, and problem management processes
  • Collaborate closely with business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders as part of day-to-day delivery activities
  • Mentor and support the onboarding of junior team members
  • Maintain, track, and report business line KPIs
  • Ensure common testing standards, methodologies, and best practices are consistently applied
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of test approaches and methodologies

Who you are

  • Hold a graduation degree in a technology-related discipline
  • Bring 5 to 8 years of experience in Test Management across the full SDLC within the telecommunications domain
  • Have proven experience working within international, distributed, onshore and offshore teams
  • Are ISTQB Foundation Level certified in Software Testing
  • Possess strong functional testing knowledge and a solid understanding of structured test methods and processes
  • Are proficient in using test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and Xray
  • Demonstrate confidence in engaging, influencing, and collaborating with stakeholders at all organisational levels
  • Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with experience producing plans covering stages, phases, dependencies, and milestones
  • Are able to take full ownership and accountability for projects and releases within scope
  • Have mandatory German language skills for OM document content validation
  • Show a collaborative mindset and clear communication skills in a global delivery environment
  • Good to have:

    • Basic Unix command-line knowledge
    • Experience validating and modifying SQL queries
    • Strong reporting and documentation skills for knowledge management
    • Experience in SIT and regression testing for complex Telco systems and user interfaces
